The main event of WWE WrestleMania 38 is going to be a champion vs champion match as Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber 2022.
Bobby Lashley defended his WWE World title inside the chamber at Jeddah Superdome. But his time in the match was cut short due to a concussion. Seth Rollin powerbombed Austin Theory to Bobby Lashley’s pod which slammed Lashley head into the Chamber. The officials took him out of the ring, and later it was revealed that Lashley would not return to the match due to concussion protocol.
Meanwhile, the match continued without Lashley, and other participants put on a fast-paced match. Brock Lesnar couldn’t wait for his turn to come out and broke through his pod. He immediately eliminated Seth Rollins and Riddle right after coming into the ring by hitting F5s. Soon, he eliminated AJ Styles as well after toying with him for a bit.
Austin Theory and Brock Lesnar were the last two fighters inside the chamber. Theory ran away from Brock but the latter finally caught him and hits him with a suplex on the steel floor. However, Theory later hit a low blow before hitting a dropkick and DDT.
It only turned Lesnar angrier. He jumped on Theory as he tried to escape the chamber. Lesnar then hits him F5 from the top of the pod and easily pinned him to win the WWE Championship once again.
Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship for the second time at Royal Rumble by defeating Brock Lesnar. The win came after Roman Reigns interfered to cost Lesnar the title. On the Royal Rumble fallout edition of WWE RAW, it was announced that the newly crowned WWE Champion would defend his title inside the Elimination Chamber.
Brock Lesnar was granted a spot in this match as he lost the title due to Roman Reigns’ interference. On the same night, Seth Rollins also announced that he would be a part of the WWE title match at the Elimination Chamber PPV. AJ Styles, Matt Riddle, and Austin Theory won their respective qualifying matches in order to earn a spot in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match.
Brock Lesnar was teasing a title vs title match ever since he won the WWE title at WWE Day 1 event. After losing the title at Royal Rumble, he entered the men’s Royal Rumble match and won the right to challenge for a World title at WrestleMania.
Now, WWE officially announced that Roman vs Lesnar will indeed be a champion vs champion match at WrestleMania 38.
