Andrade Challenges Kenny Omega For AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania 29

Andrade had challenged AEW World Champion Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship match at AAA TripleMania 29 event later this Summer.

“El Idolo” showed up at AAA Reyes de Reyes event via recorded video after the main event match. Andrade announced he was now with AAA and said he has two goals – wrestle AAA star Psycho Clown and win the Mega Championship. He then proceeded to challenge Kenny Omega for the title match at TripleMania 29.

Kenny Omega won the AAA Mega Championship back on 19 October 2019 after defeating former titleholder Rey Fenix at AAA Heroes Inmortales. He has since defended the title at both AEW and AAA events. Omega currently holds the World Heavyweight titles of three promotions- AEW, Impact Wrestling and AAA.

Andrade asked for and was granted the release from WWE back in March. He then appeared at Federacion Wrestling’s inaugural press conference to officially announce his participation in the promotion. It was also announced on Friday that Andrade will be in the main event tag team match.

AAA Triplemania event is the biggest event of the year for AAA. The date for this year’s event is not announced yet but it will take place sometime this summer. You can watch Andrade’s promo in the video below.
