Nick Wayne’s debut, Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament semifinal matches and Chris Jericho vs Komander match are announced for AEW Dynamite July 12, 2023 episode.
AEW signed Nick Wayne at the age of 16, but the contract could only be enforced once he turns 18. He has continued to feature in independent wrestling in the meantime. This week on Dynamite(July 5), Darby Allin introduced Wayne to the AEW audience as he talked about Wayne’s father and Darby Coach passing away due to a heart attack.
Darby also revealed that he convinced Tony Khan to have a look at Wayne’s talent which led to AEW signing him. Wayne is now set to make his AEW debut as he turns 18 on July 10. Wayne is set to face Swerve Strickland, whom he had defeated earlier to win DEFY World Championship in February this year.
In other matches, Owen Hart Foundation tournament will continue with women’s semifinal between Ruby Soho and Skye Blue. Soho advanced to the semifinal with a win over 2022 tournament winner Britt Baker. Blue beat Anna Jay AS two weeks back on Rampage to advance.
Blind Eliminator Tournament semifinal matches will also take place on Dynamite July 12 episode. MJF & Adam Cole are set to face the winner of the match of Rampage between Big Bill & Brian Cage vs Trent Baretta & Matt Sydal. Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin will faces the winner of Matt Hardy & Jeff Jarrett vs Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia match from Rampage.
Chris Jericho will face Komander in a singles match as the show airs from SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. The announced line-up is as below:
