Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Collision June 24, 2023 episode which was be live from Toronto, Canada, and was the go-home episode of Forbidden Door 2023.

Hiroshi Tanahashi was be in action on AEW TV for the first time where he took on Swerve Strickland. Andrade El Idolo was also in action for the second week on Collision as he faced Brody King. Christian Cage addressed Luchasaurus’ TNT Championship situation that he won last week. We also heard from Miro on his plans going forward.

Powerhouse Hobbs was in action in a singles match. Sting and Darby Allin revealed their partner for Forbidden Door to take on Le Suzuki Gods. CM Punk, FTR and Ricky Starks took on Bullet Club Gold and The Gunns in the main event. Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament continued with Willow Nightingale taking on Nyla Rose.

Live Updates

Sting & Darby’s Partner

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he asks Sting and Darby Allin. But, it is Chris Jericho who comes out with Minoru Suzuki. Jericho, being a heel, takes shots at the crowd and says they are in bad mood because Sting and Darby have let them wait for days to find out their partner. Jericho asks who they are gonna get that is stronger than Suzuki, and crazier and sexier than him, and better highflyer than Sammy Guevara. Jericho then says they will not wait anymore and asks Tony Schiavone to tell them.

Sting’s music hits and he comes out with Darby Allin. Jericho asks the crowd to shut up when they get behind them. Darby tells Jericho to shut up before he sends a message to Sammy. Darby says their partner has faced Jericho at Tokyo Dome. Sting reveals the name in his ears and Jericho is concerned. Tetsuya Naito’s music hits and he makes his way out. He has a face-off with Jericho for a while before Jericho and Suzuki slips out and head to the back.


Miro says he was out for a year before “the coward” said that he would be his favorite champion. Miro then says he is renouncing his Gods and his wife as he is gutless.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Swerve Strickland

They lock up and Tanahashi pushes Swerve to the corner. Tanahashi puts on a side headlock. He hits a back elbow when backed to the corner before he hits a crossbody. He hits a low dropkick to catch Swerve in the knees. Swerve ducks him in the corner before getting him down. Tanahashi rolls to the floor to regroup and Swerve catches him with at ropes with a strike to groin. Swerve hits some shots in the ring. Tanahashi manages to send him to the floor but Swerve traps him in the apron cloth and takes shots at him.

Tanahashi hits a slingblade as we return. He hits some body shots before a scoop slam to set up a senton from the second rope. Swerve sends him into the turnbuckle before hitting double knees. Tanahashi blocks a half and half and rolls over Swerve for a two-count. He hits a dragon screw leg whip and a slingblade to get a two-count. Swerve gets his knees up on High Fly Flow and gets a close two-count after a roll-up.

Swerve hits a kick at the knee before a thrust kick. Tanahashi avoids double stomp from the top and hits slingblade. Tanahashi goes to the top but slips. Swerve gets to the top and Tanahashi sends him back down with punches. Tanahashi hits High Fly Flow to get the pinfall.

Winner – Hiroshi Tanahashi

MJF’s music hits and he appears on the big screen. MJF says he is gonna embarrass Tanahashi tomorrow night and shove his air guitar up his a##.

Brody King vs Andrade El Idolo

They lock up and Brody easily corner Andrade. He misses a chop as Andrade ducks. Andrade goes for a shoulder tackle but Brody no-sells it. Andrade hits a dropkick to his knees. Andrade hits double boot from the corner and takes down Brody with a side headlock takeover. He uses a low bridge to send Brody to the floor. Andrade sends him down again from the apron. He hits a moonsault on Brody on the floor. Back to the ring, Brody kicks out at one. Andrade continues to work on the knee. Brody hits big shots to the back. Andrade hits smome chops. Brody puts him on the top rope and chops him down to the floor.

Brody hits a big chop to drop Andrade as we return. He puts on a vice grip on the injured shoulder. Brody hits another chop when Andrade gets up to his knees. He sets up 3 Beat of Bothran. Andrade drops his face on the ropes. He hits a dragon screw leg on the ropes. Andrade hits a crossbody and another dragon screw leg. He hits a springboard crossbody before hitting double knees in the corner to get a two-count. Brody drives him to the corner after blocking a DDT.

Brody drives him to the corner. He gets Andrade up on his shoulders and slams him into the turnbuckle. He hits a cannonball next. Andrade slips out and hits a chop block. Julia Hart has picked up Andrade’s mask and he goes to argue with him. Andrade hits a spinning back elbow and puts on figure four on Brody. As he is looking for figure eight, Buddy Mathews attacks him to cause a DQ.

Winner – Andrade El Idolo

After the bell, Buddy and Brody beat up before Brody hits Gonzo bomb. Malakai Black appears on the big screen while the others pose in the ring.


Tony Schiavone brings out Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus is the TNT Champion, but Christian is the one acting like it and holding the title on his shoulders. Christian says he was in a bad mood, but he knew that he would be back in Toronto, and he is now in worse mood. He says this city breads losers with mediocrity. He takes shots at the city’s sports team. Christian says there will be no more open challenges for this title, and if you want a shot at the title, you have to crawl for it. Christian says they will remain the champion for eternity.


We get a video package for CM Punk vs Satoshi Kojima. Punk says he is honored to face Kojima but when the bell rings, he will beat him up. We also get promos for the other first-round matches from Owen Hart Tournament.

Willow Nightingale vs Nyla Rose – Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Round 1

Both women act strong and no-sell the early tackles. Rose takes Willow to the corner to hit some shots. Willow hits back with an enzuigiri and an overhead chop. Nyla hits a chop herself before they lock in for a show of strength. Willow gets the upper hand, and Rose rolls to the floor. Shafir runs a distraction on the floor and Rose gets her shots going. Rose keeps control as we cut to a break.

Rose hits a body slam but misses a leg drop. Willow hits back with chops and forearm shot. She whips Rose from corner to corner before a backsplash and a back elbow. She hits a missile dropkick from the second rope to get a two-count. Willow’s arm is hurt and she is not able to hit her finisher in the first attempt. Rose hits a suplex before she drops Willow face-first. Rose continues to hit some quick shots. Willow hits a running tackle after a misdirection and then hits gutwrench powerbomb to get the pinfall.

Winner – Willow Nightingale

The Outcasts surround the ring after the match. Skye Blue runs out with a steel chair and forces them to back off.


Scorpio Sky is backstage for an interview and says he was not happy with the video package put out for him last week. He says he did all those things while being a fraction of himself.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs Jeremy Prophet

Hobbs rushes Prophet as the bell rings and hits a splash on the ropes. He hits corner splashes next. Prophet tries to roll him up after he slips out of Hobbs’ grip. Hobbs refuses to go down and hits big shots. Hobbs throws him to the ropes and hits a spinebuster on the rebound to get the pinfall.

CM Punk, FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Ricky Starks vs Bullet Club Gold(Jay White & Juice Robinson) & The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn)

Punk pushes White as he poses in front of him. Juice tags in and toys with Punk before they lock up. Punk puts on an arm wringer before hitting a shoulder tackle. Dax tags in and drops Juice with his tackle. He hit a scoop slam before Juice does the same. Dax puts on a side headlock before Juice counters it with a side slam. He hits a senton to get a two-count. Austin Gunn tags in and hits punches. Dax hits back with chops and a suplex. Cash tags in to hit a flying shoulder tackle before knocking off Colten from the apron.

Cash hits more chops after throwing Colten to his corner. Starks continues the control and hits old school. Austin comes in and nails Starks with some shots. White comes and they tussle for a bit. Punk tags in and locks up with White. Punk counters in the corner to hit some body shots. White also hits chops and punches. Punk takes control with chops and punches but White blocks GTS. White throws Punk to the floor, where Punk is ganged up on. FTR and Starks also get to the floor and we cut to a break.

Dax hits a superplex on Juice as we return. Cash tags in and FTR hits Doomsday Device. White breaks the pinfall. Juice hits a jawbreaker and tags in Austin. Austin hits a corner splash and a dropkick. Cash flips Austin into the corner and gets a two-count. He hits a big chop before tagging in Punk. Punk hits some shots before a neckbreaker. White runs a distraction and Austin drops him with a clothesline. He hits some kicks in the corner. White comes in to hit chops. Punk hits a back elbow but White quickly counters with a dragon screw leg. Juice works on Punk’s leg for a while. More quick tags from the heel team. We cut to another break.

White hits more chops as we return from the break. He takes Punk to the top. Punk rakes his eyes while the referee talks to FTR. Punk hits a punch to drop White back down before hitting a crossbody from the top. They trade chops and forearms now. White blocks a tag out and hits more chops. Punk turns it around and hits a jumping knee. Punk clotheslines Juice before hitting a neckbreaker on White.

The Gunns knock off other partners to block a tag out. Juice goes for GTS but Punk blocks it and hits a roundhouse kick. The Gunns try to double team but Punk kicks them away. Starks comes in with quick shots on The Gunns before a DDT on Juice. He punches White off the apron. He hits a tornado DDT on Austin. FTR gets into the ring as White and Juice try to work on Starks. White hits a back body drop on Dax on the floor. White tags in, but Starks hits him with a blue thunderbomb. White counters with a roll-up for a two-count.

Starks hits a brainbuster and Juice breaks the pin. Dax hits Juice with piledriver. The Gunns hits a double back-body drop. Cash fights them to send them to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Punk and Starks are hit with White’s Urinage. Starks blocks Blade Runner and hits a spear. He hits a spear on Colten. Juice nails Starks with a loaded punch from outside, and White hits Blade Runner to get the pinfall.
