AEW Collision January 27, 2024 Preview & Match Card
AEW Collision episode of January 27, 2024, will be facing an uphill task as the show will go head-to-head with WWE’s Royal Rumble 2024 event. Therefore, AEW is trying to put up a big card in the competition led by a House of Black vs FTR & Garcia steel cage elimination match.
Bryan Danielson will battle NJPW’s Yuji Nagata while Orange Cassidy will defend International Championship against Kip Sabian. Mariah May will be in action against Lady Front. Steel Cage Elimination Match
FTR and House of Black have been at each other’s throats for months now and the tensions reached at a new level after a brawl between the two sides after the match between Daniel Garcia and Buddy Mathews. FTR then put out a challenge for a steel cage match to end the rivalry. Whether House of Black accepted it or not, AEW announced the match to be tag team elimination match inside the caged structure.
International Title Match
Orange Cassidy is set to defend International Championship at Revolution 2024 against Roderick Strong. But, he is not resting until then and will continue to defend the title like a fighting champion. His next title defense will come at Collision on January 27 against the winner of Freshly Squeezed Fatal 4-way match winner from Rampage(who turned out to be Komander). Will Cassidy cross another hoop as we get closer to Revolution?
Blackpool Combat Club vs Shane Taylor Promotions
Jon Moxley picked up a win over Shane Taylor last week on Collision via a referee stoppage when he had Taylor in a bulldog choke. Moxley then picked up a win over Lee Moriarty also this week on Rampage in a fairly aggressive contest between them. This has led way for a tag team match where Moxley will team up with Blackpool Combat Club buddy Claudio Castagnoli to face Taylor and Moriarty.
Singles Matches
After Adam Copeland vs Minoru Suzuki at Dynamite, we will get another AEW stalwart vs NJPW veteran match in Bryan Danielson vs Yuji Nagata. Will this prove to be an easy win for Bryan?
Eddie Kingston will face Willie Mack in Continental Crown Title Eliminator match.
Mariah May will return to in-ring action after her successful AEW debut two weeks back as she faces Lady Frost.
Serena Deeb will also return to action after being on the sidelines since October 2022.
