The Young Bucks made their return after the match and stared down Sting to tease a match at Revolution. The following week, Darby and Sting said in a video promo that they want to challenge for AEW Tag Team Championship at Revolution and finish Sting’s career as the champion. Sting & Darby won AEW tag titles on Dynamite February 7, 2024 episode beating Ricky Starks & Big Bill. After the match, The Young Bucks attacked them. The following week, The Bucks said they had become the #1 contenders for the tag titles with two wins in the past week. Darby then ran out to attack them, but they left the ring. Darby then accepted their challenge for a match at Revolution for AEW Tag Team Championship. Ric Flair appeared the following week and was unhappy with not being involved with Sting for the last few weeks. He then went on to align with The Young Bucks. The following week at Dynamite, The Young Bucks beat up Darby Allin and brought out Ric Flair. Flair then swerved them and attacked The Young Bucks itself.

Orange Cassidy vs Roderick Strong: During his promo after being revealed as the masked Devil, Adam Cole cut a promo on January 3 Dynamite episode and said that his stablemate Roderick Stong would win AEW International Championship. Strong & The Kingdom were present ringside during Orange Cassidy’s International title defense at Battle of the Belts 9 against Preston Vance. Cassidy and Vance took them out before Cassidy retained the title. Strong confronted Cassidy on Dynamite January 17 episode to challenge him for the title. Cassidy accepted the challenge and wanted the match right away. However, Strong replied that he wanted the match to take place at Revolution.

AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page kept staking their claim for AEW World Championship. AEW booked them in Dealer’s Choice match and allowed them to find each other’s opponents on Dynamite January 31 episode. Page defeated Toa Liona in a singles match while Swerve defeated Rob Van Dam. After the match, Page confronted Swerve and challenged him for a match.
