Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Revolution 2024 PPV event which is set to feature Sting’s Retirement match.

Taking place at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, CO, on March 3, 2024, the event will see Samoa Joe defend AEW World Championship against Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. Sting and Darby Allin will team up to defend AEW Tag Team titles against The Young Bucks.

Toni Storm vs Deonna Purrazzo, Orange Cassidy vs Roderick Strong, Eddie Kingston vs Bryan Danielson and Christian Cage vs Daniel Garcia are the other title matches. Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli will face FTR.

Will Ospreay takes on Konosuke Takeshita in a non-title match. An All-Star Scramble match will crown the new #1 contender for AEW World title. 2 more matches are announced for the pre-show. Check below for the results, live updates and complete highlights from AEW Revolution 2024 PPV.

  • Bang Bang Scissor Gang(Jay White, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Billy Gunn, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) defeated Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Willie Mack, Mark Quen & Brother Jay in a tag team match,
  • Kris Statlander & Willow Nightingale defeated Julia Hart & Skye Blue in a tag team match.
  • Christian Cage(c) defeated Daniel Garcia in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW TNT Championship.
  • Eddie Kingston(c) def. Bryan Danielson in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW Continental Crown Championship.
  • Wardlow defeated Powerhouse Hobbs, Lance Archer, Chris Jericho, Hook, Brian Cage, Magnus and Dante Martin in an 8-man All-Star Scramble Match via pinfall to become #1 Contender for AEW World Championship.
  • Roderick Strong defeated Orange Cassidy(c) in a singles match via pinfall to win AEW International Championship.

Christian Cage(c) vs Daniel Garcia – AEW TNT Championship

Garcia tried to take a quick start with some tackles but Cage rolled out to the floor to regroup and make a strategy with Killswitch, Nick Wayne and Martha on the floor. Cage took over control after faking an injury in the corner and raking Garcia’s eyes. He beat up Garcia for a while. Garcia hit a chop block on Cage and started to work on the ankle. During his offense, Garcia put Cage’s highneck t-shirt up on his face and hit countdown punches from the second rope.

Cage made a comeback before he distracted the referee to allow Killswitch to hit Garcia with chokeslam, but Garcia kicked out of the pin. Matt Menard came out and started brawling with Killswitch to take him backstage. Cage’s knee gave up as he was looking for a spear. Garcia capitalized with a piledriver but Cage kicked out of a nearfall. Nick Wayne then took a cheap shot at Garcia from outside before Cage hit the killswitch to get the pinfall and retain the title.

Eddie Kingston(c) vs Bryan Danielson – AEW Continental Crown Championship

Danielson tried to avoid upperbody strikes in the initial exchanges and focused mainly on calf kicks and on the lower body. Kingston ultimately got to batter him with chops. He hit a suicide dive on the floor before hitting many more chops on the apron. Danielson pushed back towards the ring post and ducked a chop to send Kingston’s arm into the ring post. Danielson also hit a saito suplex from the apron to the floor and took complete control of the match to work on Kingston’s arm.

After a couple of minutes, Kingston countered a dive off the top with an exploder. But, he hurt his arm when he hit a chop. He turned to a submission move instead which allowed Danielson to counter and take control once again. Danielson showed off his array of moves to keep Kingston under pressure despite several of his attempts to counter. Danielson took Kingston down from the top rope and went for the Labell lock. Kingston avoided getting locked in completely and got to the ropes for a break.

Kingston hit back with elbows before hitting an enzuigiri and a Northern lights bomb to get a near fall. Danielson hit Busaika knee but Kingston kicked out of the pinfall. Danielson started hitting signature stomps to the face before putting on the triangle sleeper, but Kingston did not go to sleep this time and got his legs to the ropes to break.

Danielson hit Yes kicks before Kingston ducked and hit a half-and-half suplex. Danielson hit an exploder before Kingston hit another half-and-half suplex. Then we saw both men hitting big punches. Kingston countered Busaika knee with a lariat and hit a powerbomb to get the pinfall.

Danielson had to shake Kingston’s hand as per the stipulation. He ended up doing so despite being reluctant at the start.

All-Star Scramble Match for #1 Contender for AEW World Championship

The match featured Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, Lance Archer, Chris Jericho, Hook, Brian Cage, Magnus and Dante Martin. 4 big men – Wardlow, Archer, Hobbs and Cage cleared the ring at the start and started fighting. It was mostly no sells from everyone until Hobbs and Cage were thrown out. Wardlow and Archer started fighting in the ring. Archer hit Wardlow with old school. Hobbs hits a spinebuster on Archer. Wardlow hit a powerbomb on Hobbs. Jericho hit Codebreaker on Wardlow, but the pin was broken.

The other 4 men started to fight in the ring now – Jericho, Martin, Magnus and Hook. Jericho hit a suicide dive on the floor on Hobbs. Martin did the same to Wardlow. Magnus dived on Archer and Hook dived on Cage. All 8 men got into the ring. Meat men set up and hit superplexes on small-sized fighters one by one.

Dante hit a splash on Cage to get a near fall. He botched a dive on the outside before hitting a flatliner back in the ring. Magnus hit him with 619 and a cutter to get a near fall. Archer then dropped him with a hip-toss off the top rope before a chokeslam for a near fall. Jericho worked with Magnus to hit a double suplex on Archer followed by stereo lionsaults. Hobbs cleared them from the ring before hitting a jumping clothesline and a powerslam on Archer.

The chaos continued with Cage and Hook getting invovled next. Wardlow hit German suplexes on anyone he could find. Hook put Wardlow in RedRum and Jericho put on the Liontamer. Cage broke the submission. Hobbs cleared the ring before missing a tackle in the corner. Jericho kicked him off the apron. Hobbs slammed him onto the floor. Jericho countered his running tackle using fog machine. Wardlow hit Cage with a headbutt in the ring before a powerbomb. A series of big moves from everyone until Wardlow cleared Hook from the ring and hit a powerbomb on Dante Martin to get the pinfall.

Orange Cassidy(c) vs Roderick Strong – AEW International Championship

Cassidy’s ribs are heavily taped after the attacks on him earlier. Strong took advantage of this and dropped him on the barricade after taking him to the floor. He kept up with the attack in the ring for the first few minutes. Cassidy avoided a corner splash before slamming Strong’s face into the turnbuckle. Strong dropped him on the turnbuckle with a gutwrench slam from the second rope. Strong stretched his back using the ringpost.

Cassidy tried to hulk up but big chops from Strong kept him checked. Cassidy ultimately dropped to the mat. He tried to hit a DDT after his second wind but Strong hit him with a backbreaker. Cassidy countered with a stundog millionaire but Strong quickly hit back with a backbreaker. He put on the Stronghold next.

Cassidy rolled over to break free and quickly hit a diving DDT. Cassidy hit Panama Sunrise next, but Strong kicked out of the pinfall. Strong hit another backbreaker before running into an Orange Punch. Cassidy’s back gave up as he tried to hit Beach Break. He used the ropes to hit Beach Break, but Strong was able to get his leg to the ropes to break. Strong blocked another Orange Punch and hit End of Heartache to get the pinfall.

After the match, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett came out to celebrate with Strong. Kyle O’Reilly made his return and hugged Strong. Taven offered him The Kingdom shirt, but KOR handed it back to Strong before telling him something in his ear.

FTR(Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs Blackpool Combat Club(Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli)

Claudio and Harwood started the match with back-and-forth action. After the first couple of minutes, Harwood nailed a big shot to stagger Claudio. Moxley tagged in and so did Wheeler to hit him with a shoulder tackle. FTR kept control over Moxley with big chops. Moxley tagged in Claudio who ended up dropping Wheeler on the apron. The referee got busy in controlling Claudio, which allowed Moxley to send Wheeler into the barricade and beat him up on the floor.

BCC duo took control over Wheeler and used every tactic in their book to keep control. Wheeler countered Moxley after a few minutes and quickly tagged in Harwood who went toe to toe with Claudio. Claudio hit a slam and Moxley took Wheeler to the floor, but Harwood kicked out of the pin. Moxley tagged in and started beating up Harwood. Wheeler sent Claudio into the barricade and came in to assist Harwood to hit a piledriver on Moxley. Moxley also kicked out.

BCC hit Harwood with Doomsday Device only for Wheeler to break the pin. Claudio blocked Shatter Machine before Moxley hit Wheeler with a cutter and Claudio put Harwood in a swing. Claudio hit a big kick on Harwood, but Harwood kicked out of the pin. The action continued and FTR hit Shatter Machine on Moxley. Claudio pulled Wheeler off Moxley to break the pin. Claudio hit Wheeler with a upper cut on the floor. Harwood hit Claudio with a piledriver on the floor.

Moxley hit Harwood with a Paradigm shift after a few counters. Harwood countered the pin attempt into a backslide. Moxley then put on a rear naked choke on Harwood. Claudio also put Wheeler in a knee lock to stop him from breaking the lock. Harwood ultimately tapped out.

Toni Storm(c) vs Deonna Purrazzo – AEW Women’s Championship

Mariah May came out dressed as Toni Storm of the past. Back and forth start of the match with former friends countering each other on multiple occasions. A distraction from outside from May helped Storm to hit a low blow in the corner and take control of the match. Storm controlled the major part of the match.

Purrazzo made a comeback in the match and had Storm in a submission. Luther then distracted the referee by coming to the apron. Purrazzo forced Storm to tap but the referee was not looking. May also got to the apron, but Purrazzo kicked her off it. Storm capitalized on the distraction by hitting a piledriver to get the pinfall.

Konosuke Takeshita vs Will Ospreay

Ospreay starts with showing off his agility with some big moves. After this, they traded chops and punches. Takeshita hit a jumping clothesline. Takeshita dropped Ospreay on the ropes as he was looking for a springboard and followed up with a superplex. Takeshita took over control from here and showed off his in-ring prowess.

Ospreay hit back with stiff chops followed by a phenomenal forearm. This started an extended period where Ospreay was in control. Takeshita countered with a modified cutter before hitting a suicide dive on the floor.

They started to trade punches as they got up. Ospreay hit a rolling elbow. Takeshita was down and his hands were contorted. The referee checked on him and was told by Takeshita that he wanted to continue. Takeshita then replied with big elbow shots. Several quick counters before Ospreay hit superkicks and a Tiger Driver to get a near fall.

Takeshita countered Oscutter with a spinout powerbomb to get a near fall himself. This got a standing ovation from the crowd. After a minute, Ospreay hit Oscutter. Takeshita blocked Hidden Blade with a forearm shot for another near fall. Ospreay went for a superplex but Takeshita turned it into a brainbuster on the turnbuckle, but Ospreay landed on his back. Takeshita dropped his kneepad for the knee strike but Ospreay blocked it and hit Stundog Millionaire and a poisonrana.

Takeshita blocked Stormbreaker, but Ospreay also rolled out of a powerbomb. Ospreay hit hidden blade but Takeshita kicked out at one. Both men hit rolling elbow as the same time. Takeshita ran over Ospreay with a lariat. Ospreay blocked jumping knee and hit Styles Clash to get a near fall. Ospreay hit Tiger Driver 91 and Hidden Blade to get the pinfall.

Big Ospreay chants after the match. Kyle Fletcher came out to the apron with his ROH TV title. Ospreay and Takeshita bowed down to each other in respect. Fletcher hugged Ospreay in the ring as we are told that they would clash in a singles match at Dynamite on March 6.

Samoa Joe(c) vs Adam Page vs Swerve Strickland – AEW World Championship

Swerve and Hangman got into each other’s face and Joe smashed their heads into each other. Joe beat them up together until Hangman whipped Joe to the ropes and Swerve used a low bridge to send him outside. Swerve and Hangman fought for a while and kept Joe out of the ring.

Joe came back and ran them over. Both men tried to pull Joe off the second rope for a powerbomb but he fought them off one-by-one. They worked together to hit a double powerbomb on Joe. Three way action continued after this. Swerve hit a Swerve stomp on Hangman to block his move on Joe. He followed up with a House Call kick on Joe, and then hit one on Hangman, but Hangman kicked out of the pin. Swerve started working on Joe and hit him with 450-splash. Swerve hit the Swerve stomp on Joe but Hangman pulled the referee out to stop the pin.

Hangman took the AEW World title belt and hit Swerve with it to knock him to the floor. Hangman hit Joe with two Buckshot lariats, but there was not referee when he went for the pin. Joe kicked out when the referee ran out. Joe ducked under a lariat and put Hangman in a Coquina Clutch. Swerve broke it with a Swerve stomp.

Swerve went for a pin on Joe, but Hangman beat up the referee to stop the pinfall. Hangman hit Joe with a Buckshot lariat. Swerve hit Hangman with Buckshot lariat and JML driver. Joe hit Swerve with half-and-half suplex before putting Hangman in Coquina clutch. Hangman tapped out before Swerve could break the submission.

AEW announced their next PPV- AEW Dynasty on April 21 in St. Louis.

Sting & Darby Allin(c) vs The Young Bucks(Matthew Jackson & Nicolas Jackson – AEW World Tag Team Championship

Ric Flair made his entrance first. Ricky Steamboat came out as the special timekeeper for the match. The Young Bucks came out after this. Sting’s son came out to the stage in his earlier avatars. Sting then made his entrance. Darby joined him on the stage without his music. Sting, his sons and Darby then made their way to the ring.

Darby hit The Young Bucks with a suicide dive before the bell. The Bucks were brought into the ring and beat up by Sting and Darby before Sting’s son also came in. All 4 men hit stinger/coffin splashes on The Bucks. Sting put double scorpion death lock on The Bucks, but was able to hold onto them. All sorts of weapons are used on the Young Bucks as Sting and Darby continue to beat them up on the floor.

The Bucks avoid going to pane of glass. They ran into the crowd and to the stage. They ultimately put Darby through a table set up below the stage. Sting fought them but the same fate awaited him. Darby was taken back into the ring where he fought back with quick moves. He hit stunner on Matthew before setting him up on a pane of glass above steel chairs. He dived off the top of a ladder and went through the glass as Matthew moved away.

Sting came to the ring and The Bucks were able to ultimately put him through a table. Sting got up just few seconds after it. Nicolas hit Sting with Stinger Death drop to get a near fall. Matthew went to take the title belts but Ricky Steamboat stopped them. The Bucks hit Steamboat also. Rick Flair got into the ring and covered Sting to stop the Bucks hitting him with title belt. The Bucks hit Flair with double superkick, followed by double superkick on Steamboat. Nicolas hit Sting with the title belt but Sting kicked out again.

Sting no-sold double superkicks from The Bucks before running them over. He hit Matthew with stinger death drop but Nicolas broke the pin. The Bucks hit Sting with EVP trigger but Sting kicked out once again. They went for another EVP trigger, but Sting kicked out at one this time.

Sting hulked up but The EVPs hit him with double superkick. They went for Tony Khan Driver but Darby pushed Nicolas off the top rope. Sting hit Matthew with stinger death drop for a near fall. Darby hit Matthew with Coffin drop before Sting put on the Stinger Deathlock to get a tap out.

Sting and Darby posed in the corners after they got the title belts. Darby then took the mic and said they still had 3 minutes left on PPV, so, we should show some love to Sting. Sting took the mic after “Thank You, Sting” chants. He thanked the fans in the arena and wanted this to be a night that wrestling fans could not forget. He also said that this was a night he would not forget. He then thanked Darby Allin, who he termed as the best tag team partner. “You still got it chants” when Sting said he got old, but he was still a risk taker. The show went off the air.
