Sting has announced that his final wrestling match will take place at AEW Revolution PPV in 2024.

On October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, Sting began his heartfelt promo by acknowledging and expressing gratitude to some of the wrestling legends he’s had the privilege to share the ring with, including Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Dusty Rhodes.

Sting then disclosed that he intends to have his final wrestling match at Revolution PPV in 2024. The event will mark just three years since his first match with the company at Revolution 2021. Sting also said that this time fans can be sure that his retirement is real.

Sting previously retired in 2015 after he suffered a neck injury. Following this, he was inducted into WWE Hall of Fame 2016.

Sting came out of retirement and made his first appearance in AEW at Winter is Coming 2020 Dynamite special event. Since joining AEW, Sting has had notable matches and encounters with various opponents, including FTR, Chris Jericho, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Jay Lethal.

Sting’s first match in AEW took place at AEW Revolution 2021 PPV event, where he and Darby Allin emerged victorious against Team Taz (Brian Cage and Ricky Starks).

Sting is also scheduled for October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite where Tony Khan will present him with a gift.
