AEW Collision August 12: Acclaimed, Trios Title Match & Tag Team Bout
AEW has officially announced three matches for the August 12, 2023, episode of AEW Collision, including Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) in action.
During the August 5 episode of AEW Collision, Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) were backstage in an interview with Tony Schiavone. During the interview, Acclaimed mentioned that Bily Gunn is blaming himself for the loss against The House of Black for the AEW Trios Title match.
Acclaimed also revealed that they had a conversation with Gunn where Gunn confirmed his unwavering decision to retire from professional wrestling. Acclaimed also said that to honor Gunn’s legacy, they would carry his boots as a symbol of respect.

The AEW Trio Championship match is also scheduled for the August 12 episode of AEW Collision, where The House of Black (Buddy Matthews, Malakai Black, and Brody King) will defend their title against CM Punk and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood). House of Black successfully retained the titles on Collision this week against Action Andretti, Darius Martin, and Lee Johnson.
A women’s Tag team bout is also scheduled for next week, where Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale will face Diamante and Mercedes Martinez. During the August 5 episode of AEW Collision, Statlander retained her TBS championship by defeating Martinez. After the match, Martinez launched a surprise attack on Statlander. Diamante then appeared and joined in on the assault. However, the situation took a turn when Willow rushed to the scene to save Statlander.
The August 12 episode of AEW Collision will be live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC, US. Below is the complete line-up for the show:
