UFC 300: Charles Oliveira vs Arman Tsarukyan #1 Contender Bout Added

Charles Oliveira vs Arman Tsarukyan UFC 300

Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan are set for a #1 contender bout at UFC 300.

UFC President Dana White announced two lightweight bouts on Sunday night via a video on social media. The first one was the co-main event for UFC 299 between Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Denis.

White then added that Oliveira and Tsarukyan will clash at UFC 300. White added that UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev is dealing with some injuries and therefore can’t defend his title against Oliveira. The winner between Oliveira and Tsarukyan would challenge Makhachev at a future date.

Charles Oliveira was set to face challenge Makhachev at UFC 294, but had to pull out due to a cut on the eyebrow. Prior to that, Oliveira defeated Beniel Dariush in his only bout since losing the lightweight title bout against Makhachev at UFC 280.

Arman Tsarukyan is on a hot streak with 3 wins in a row. He defeated Damir Ismagulov and Joaquim Silva before beating Beniel Dariush in one minute in the UFC Austin headliner last month.
