UFC 300: Prochazka-Rakic, Sterling-Kattar & Nickal-Brundage Announced

UFC 300

UFC has added 3 blockbuster fights to UFC 300 PPV card.

Dana White took to social media to announce several bouts for the first half of 2024. For UFC 300, he added Jiri Prochazka vs Alexander Rakic light heavyweight bout, Bo Nickal vs Cody Brundage middleweight bout, and Aljamain Sterling moving to featherweight to face Calvin Kattar.

Alexander Rakic recently called out Jiri Prochazka to face him at UFC 297, but Prochazka replied saying that he could be ready in February. However, UFC has now booked them for UFC 300 in April.

Rakic will be returning to the Octagon 2 years after suffering a leg injury against Jan Blachowicz in May 2022. He was supposed to face Blachowicz at UFC 297, but Blachowicz pulled out of the fight. Prochazka suffered a loss to Alex Pereira in light heavyweight title fight at UFC 295.

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling will move up to featherweight at UFC 300 as he face Calvin Kattar. This will be just the second time that Sterling fights at featherweight in his career. Sterling lost the bantamweight title to Sean O’Malley in his last fight at UFC 292.

Kattar, ranked at #7 in UFC Featherweight rankings, has been out of action since October 2022 when he suffered a knee injury in his fight against Arnold Allen.

Bo Nickal will look to continue on his 5-fight winning streak as he faces Cody Brundage in a middleweight bout. Brundage is currently on a 2-fight winning streak after snapping a 3-fight losing skid.

UFC 300 takes place on April 13, 2024. No location is confirmed for the show yet.
