Yazmin Jauregui vs Sam Hughes Reported for UFC Mexico City
Mexican Fighter Yazmin Jauregui will be in action at UFC Mexico City Fight Night.
Carlos Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reported that Jauregui will take on Sam Hughes at UFC’s return to Mexico on February 24, 2024. Both fighters are from strawweight division.
Jauregui suffered her first UFC & MMA career loss to Denis Gomes at UFC 290 PPV. That was her only bout in 2023. Prior to that, Jauregui two wins in UFC against Iasmin Lucindo(in her promotional debut) and Istela Nunes.

Sam Hughes is 3-4 in UFC, but has 3 wins in last 4 bouts. Hughes lost her first three bouts in UFC after her debut in 2020. Her first win came against Istela Nunes in April 2022 before she beat Elise Reed. After suffering a loss to Piera Rodriguez, she started her 2023 by beating Jaqueline Amorim at UFC 287.
UFC Mexico City Fight Night event will air from Mexico City Arena on February 24, 2024. It has Brandon Moreno vs Amir Albazi flyweight bout as the main event while Yair Rodriguez vs Brian Ortega is set to be a 5-round co-main event.
