UFC 299: MVP-Holland, Burns-Maddalena & Garry-Neal Added
UFC President Dana White announced four new blockbuster bouts for UFC 299 event in Miami in March 2024.
During the post-show press conference of UFC 296 PPV, White announced that 3 new welterweight bouts in Michael ‘Venom’ Page vs Kevin Holland, Gilbert Burns vs Jack Della Maddalena, and Ian Garry vs Geoff Neal, along with Song Yadong vs Petr Yan bantamweight bout for UFC 299.
The event is set to take place on March 9, 2024, at Kaseya Center in Maimi, FL. UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera is set to be the headliner bout.

Long-time Bellator fighter Michael “Venom” Page has signed with UFC as per White’s announcement. He was last in action at Bellator 292 event where he defeated Goiti Yamauchi. Kevin Holland is coming off a loss to Jack Della Maddalena at Noche UFC event in September this year.
Maddalena is set for a key welterweight fight against Gilbert Burns as he looks to continue his 16 fights winning streak, 6 of which have come in UFC. Burns is coming off a loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 288 PPV in a short-notice fight.
Ian (Machado) Garry was supposed to fight Vincente Luque at UFC 296, but had to pull out due to pneumonia. He was last in action to beat Neil Magny at UFC 292 to take his record to 13-0. Geoff Neal will be the one facing Garry as he looks to bounce back from a loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 285.
Song Yadong was in action last week to beat Chris Gutiérrez. Petr Yan is on a 3-fight losing streak currently with losses against Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili.
