UFC has officially revealed the location for UFC 289 PPV on June 10, 2023, along with the headliner championship bout.

UFC Canada’s Twitter account announced that the event is set to take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. This will be UFC’s return to Canada for the first time since a Fight Night event on September 14, 2019, which was headlined by Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje.

The tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, April 21, 2023. Fans can apply for early pre-sale at this link.

Later in the day, ESPN’s Aaron Bronsteter reported that UFC President Dana White has confirmed Amanda Nunes vs Julianna Peña women’s bantamweight title trilogy would headline the event.

Julianna Peña shocked everyone when she forced Amanda Nunes to submit in the second round in the co-headliner of UFC 269. This broke Nunes’ 12-fight winning streak along with 1981 days title reign as women’s bantamweight champion.

The pair was then announced to be the coaches for The Ultimate Fighter Season 30 which was followed by a clash at UFC 277. In the rematch, Nunes was able to dominate and defeated Peña via unanimous decision.

Earlier on Friday, Lucas Almeida vs Hakeem Dawodu and Aiemann Zahabi vs Aori Qileng bouts were also reported for UFC 289 card. Keep tuned in for the latest updates.
