Trevin Jones Replace Julio Arce Against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 285
The former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt gets himself a new challenger at UFC 285.
Trevin Jones stepped in and agreed to replace Julio Arce on very short notice against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 285 on March 4, 2023.
Initially, Garbrandt was scheduled to face Julio Arce at the event, but the latter withdrew from this bout due to a knee injury in late January.
Both Cody Garbrandt and Trevin Jones are maintaining a losing streak. Cody managed to win only one out of six fights ever since he dropped the bantamweight title to TJ Dillashaw. His most recent losses came against Kai Kara-France and Rob Font. Grabrandt’s last win was against Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250 in June 2020.
On the other hand, Trevin Jones is on a three-fight losing streak. He is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Raoni Barcelos last year in October. Before that, he also lost against Javid Basharat and Saidyokub Kakhramonov. His last win came against Mario Bautista at UFC 259.
UFC 285 will take place on March 4, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena, and will be headlined by Jon Jones vs Cirly Gane UFC heavyweight title bout.
