Tom Aspinall Calls Out Jon Jones & Ciryl Gane After UFC London Win
Tom Aspinall has called out Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane after his win over Marcin Tybura at UFC London.
Aspinall returned to the octagon a year after he got injured at the same event last year within 15 seconds against Alexander Volkov. This year, Aspinall beat his opponent in 75 seconds for a spectacular knockout.
Aspinall was pumped after the bout and laid out his plan for the future title shot. In the Octagon interview, Aspinall said that he would fly to Paris to watch Ciryl Gane take on Sergey Spivac, and beat the winner of that fight to earn a title shot.
UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was quick to respond to this and tweeted, “Sounds good, lol”. Ciryl Gane also responded and told him to be careful. “Great performance Tom, careful what you wish for”, Gane tweeted. Gane vs Spivac will headline UFC Paris Fight Night on September 2.
Aspinall also responded to Jones’ tweet and said he wants to motivate Jon Jones to stick around and fight him. Jones will defend the heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic to headliner UFC 295 PPV in November. Jones has said that he would retire after the event and bow out on the top by beating Miocic .
Will Jones stay around to fight Aspinall? Keep tuned in to know more.
