Movsar Evloev Replaced Pearce Against Bryce Mitchell at UFC 288
Bryce Mitchell has finally found a new opponent for UFC 288 PPV event.
Movsar Evloev is set to replace the injured Jonathan Pearce in a featherweight bout against Bryce Mitchell at UFC 288 on May 6, 2023.
The news was confirmed during the broadcast of the UFC Kansas City Fight Night event. Evloev has agreed to fight Mitchell on very short notice after Pearce withdrew from this bout due to injury.
Bryce Mitchell is coming off his solo career loss against Ilia Topuria at UFC 282. He submitted to Topuria’sarm-triangle choke in the second round. Before that, he registered wins against fighters like Edson Barboza, Andre Fili, and Charles Rosa.
On the other hand, Movsar Evloev is still undefeated in MMA. He won all six of his UFC fights so far. Evloev is coming off wins against Dan Ige, Hakeem Dawodu, and Nik Lentz in his last three matches.
Now, it will be interesting to see whether Bryce Mitchell ends Evloev’s winning streak or will register his second consecutive loss.
UFC 288 will be headlined by Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo bantamweight championship bout on May 6, 2023.
