Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo Set to Main Event UFC 288 in New Jersey

The former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo’s UFC return is officially announced. 

UFC itself announced on Saturday that Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo bantamweight championship bout would serve as the main event of the UFC 288 PPV event on May 6. The event will emanate from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. 

Initially, the officials were targeting to book this bout at UFC 287, but Sterling needed some more time to recover from his injuries. Then the reports came out that Sterling and Cejudo had verbally agreed to have this match at UFC 288

Now, both these fighters inked the contract and made this bout official for the PPV event. With this bout, Henry Cejudo makes his return to the octagon after a long gap of three years. 

Henry never lost the bantamweight or flyweight titles. He vacated both these titles before he announced his retirement. However, now had a change of heart as he decided to step inside the octagon once again. 

Jon Jones recently returned and captured the UFC heavyweight title. Will Henry Cejudo be able to do the same when he faces Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title on May 6?
