Diana Belbita vs Maria Oliveira Added to UFC 289 in June
A new women’s strawweight bout is in work for the UFC 289 PPV event.
According to the latest reports, Diana Belbita will face Maria Oliveira inside the octagon at UFC 289 on June 10, 2023.
MMA Fighting was the first one to report this matchup, which was later confirmed by numerous other sources as well.
Diana Belbita is 1-3 in UFC so far. She failed to make a long-lasting impression yet. Diana is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Gloria de Paula in Fen 2022. Her sole UFC win came against Hannah Goldy back in July 2021. However, she hasn’t competed for more than a year, so she might be suffering from ring rust.
On the other hand, Maria Oliveira is 1-2 in UFC. She is coming off a loss against Vanessa Demopoulous. Before that, she defeated Gloria de Paula to register her solo UFC win.
UFC 289 is all set to take place during International Fight Week. The promotion is yet to announce the headliner bout of this event.
