Emily Ducote vs Polyana Viana Postponed to UFC Vegas 73 in May
Emily Ducote vs Polyana Viana women’s strawweight bout will not take place at UFC Vegas 72 on April 29, 2023.
According to the latest reports, a bout between Emily Ducote and Polyana Viana has been postponed to UFC Vegas 73 on May 20. Nolan King of MMA Junkie reported this change on Twitter. The reason why UFC pushed this bout is still unknown.
Emily Ducote is coming off a decision loss against Angela Hill last year in December. She impressed everyone in her UFC debut as she defeated Jessica Pene last year in July.
On the other hand, Polyana Viana is coming off a first KO win against Jinh Yu Frey. Before that, her two-fight winning streak was snapped by Tabatha Ricci in May 2022.
It is an evenly matched competition and will be really interesting to see which one of them will leave the octagon with victory on May 20.
UFC Vegas 73 is set to be headlined by Raquel Pennington vs Irene Aldana II women’s bantamweight bout.
