EVENT NOTES

This is the 73rd event to take place at UFC’s own Apex Center in Las Vegas, NV, and hence, it was named as UFC Vegas 73.

A rematch between Irene Aldana and Raquel Pennington was announced as the main event. However, Aldana was moved to replace Julianna Pena in the bantamweight championship bout against Amanda Nunes at UFC 289 PPV. Pennington was also removed from this event as she is now serving as the backup to Nunes vs Aldana fight.

McKenzie Dern vs Angeli Hill women’s strawweight bout was scheduled for UFC Charlotte event on May 13. The bout was later shifted to this event to serve as the headliner.

Clayton Carpenter and Stephen Erceg were earlier scheduled to face each other in Dana White Contender Series 2022 season, but the bout was scrapped with unknown reason. Erceg would now make his UFC debut against Carpenter at this event.
