WWE SmackDown October 13, 2023, will feature the return of Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The show will start the build-up for Crown Jewel 2023 PLE while also dealing with the fallout from Fastlane 2023.
Triple H is set to make an appearance on the season premiere show which will be airing from BOK Center in Tulsa, OK. The Tribal Chief Returns
Roman Reigns will be making his first appearance on SmackDown since August 11 episode – a gap of two months. During these two months, his cousins Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso have been feuding with John Cena, LA Knight, AJ Styles and his teammates. Solo and Jimmy also lost to Cena and Knight at Fastlane. How will the Tribal Chief react to this loss? Also, will we find out when he defends Universal Championship next? Jey Uso has become the tag team champion after moving on to RAW. Will that also be an area of concern for Reigns?
Triple H Comes to Blue Brand
Paul “Triple H” Levesque is set to make an appearance on SmackDown this week. This will be his first on-screen appearance since he was seen on RAW in May 2023. Does he have a big announcement to make?
Pretty Deadly vs The Brawling Brutes
Elton Prince has recovered from his shoulder injury and Pretty Deadly are set to return to SmackDown. They will be taking on Butch and Ridge Holland of the Brawling Brutes. Prince got injured during the match against Sheamus and Holland. Is revenge on his mind. Holland and Butch are coming off a big win over Gallus on NXT this week. Will they continue their momentum?
Tag Team Championship Open Challenge
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso are at work as the tag team champions. They are the champions of both RAW and SmackDown brands. Their first title defense already came at RAW against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. They have now issued an open challenge for SmackDown also. Who will try to take on them?
What Else to Expect?
Iyo Sky came out with her title after beating Asuka and Charlotte Flair at Fastlane. Bayley gave her a big helping hand for the win. Did it end the misunderstandings between Iyo and Bayley?
What’s next for LA Knight and John Cena after a big win at Fastlane? Cena is slated for an appearance but the agenda is not set yet.

It’s great to see John Cena back in WWE smackdown, the number one wrestling weekly tv show.
I think Roman Reigns should have to defend his title at least twice a month. Everyone else does more than that. In the 1000+ days that he has been champion I think he has only defended 29 times. That is not a champion.
