WWE NXT Results October 10, 2023, Live Updates Ft. Cody, Cena
Welcome to WWE NXT’s live coverage from ITNWWE for October 10, 2023 episode which is set to be the biggest ever NXT weekly show.
The reason to say this is that some of the biggest names in WWE in John Cena, Cody Rhodes Paul Heyman, and Asuka will be appearing on the show. Even the Undertaker is being teased for an appearance.
Cena will be Carmelo Hayes’ corner while Paul Heyman will be guiding his opponent Bron Breakker as two former NXT Champions clash once again. Asuka will take on Roxanne Perez in a singles match. Cody Rhodes is set to make an important announcement.
Tyler Bate teams up with Butch and Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes to take on Gallus in a trios match. Appearances from NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov are also expected. Tune in below for the results from 8 PM ET onwards.
The American Nightmare
Cody Rhodes opens the show. The loud welcome from the fans in the stand. They also chant “yeet” which has become a catchphrase for him and Jey Uso. Cody says he did not think he would ever be here in this particular ring. But, it is Rhodes and Florida and they have spilled blood all over the state. Cody goes on to announce men’s NXT Breakout Tournament. He keeps hearing that Dusty Rhodes Classics will also return soon. He also adds that Shawn Michaels has made him the special guest manager for tonight.
NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov comes out and welcomes Cody to NXT. Dragunov promises Cody to push the NXT brand with the same fire Cody is pushing the WWE brand. North American Champion Dominik Mysterio comes out with Rhea Ripley. “You suck” chants start for Dominik. Dominik says Ilja may be NXT Champion but does not stand anywhere near the AA Champion. Ilja says he is not surprised that he is out here to talk. He adds that his father used to work in a prison, so he knows how to turn a barking dog into a little puppy.
Dominik challenges Ilja for NXT Championship match. Cody asks why is he not putting his North American title on the line. Rhea intervenes and says Dominik is carrying WWE for the last year and does not need to prove it to Cody. Ilja goes on to accept the challenge. Cody, being the special guest manager, makes the match official, but wants to add a special guest referee to the match. And this special referee will be LA Knight.
We see John Cena arriving to the Performance Center.
Asuka vs Roxanne Perez
Shotzi comes out before the match starts and joins the commentary team. Back and forth action between the competitors in the ring. Shotzi announces that she and Scarlett will be the hosts of Halloween Havoc. Asuka hits a kick to midsection before some Kawada kicks to the face. Perez is sent to the corner and is boot to the corner. Dueling chants from the crowd. Perez hits a forearm strike but Asuka wrenches her arm. Perez breaks free and hits a dropkick. She hits a side Russian Leg sweep next. Asuka rolls to the floor. Perez hits her with a suicide dive. Back to the ring, Asuka brings her down with a roundhouse kick. They trade pin attempts. Asuka gets Perez into Asuka lock. She puts on crossface breifly when Perez tries to break free. Asuka hits a series of roundhouse kicks to get the pinfall.
Winner – Asuka
Asuka gives props to Perez for the fight before leaving. Kiana James tries to attack Perez but Shotzi makes the save immediately.
We see Paul Heyman arriving to the show earlier today.
Tyler Bate, Butch & Ridge Holland vs Gallus(Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) – Pub Rules Fight
Bate, Butch and Holland come out first. Gallus attack them on the stage itself and the brawl beings. They fight down to the ring and Bate uses a pool cue to take out Wolfgang. Butch uses a dart and stabs the fingers of Joe Coffey with a dart. A fire extinguisher is used to hit Mark as well as a trash can and some other weapons. Butch misses a moonsault and has hurt his leg. Bate hits a springboard clothesline on Joe but Gallus work on him to drop him through a table. We cut to the first break of the night.
We return to see Butch taking back the control. Holland and Bate put Wolfgang and Mark in airplane spin. Butch hits a rolling senton on Joe on the floor. They all hit countdown punches on their respective opponent. In the ring, Bate and Butch hit a German suplex on Mark. Joe fights back and sends Butch to the floor. Joe hits a German suplex on Bate before putting him in a piledriver kind submission. Holland hits him with a kendo stick and puts him in a Boston Crab. Butch puts Mark in an armbar. Bate puts on crossface on Wolfgang.
Mark hits a powerbomb on Butch on top of Bate to break it. Wolfgang and Mark double team on Butch, but Bate breaks the pin. Butch slides a table in and Bate sets it up. Wolfgang hits him with an Urinage. Holland hits a double back drop on Mark and Wolfgang. Joe comes in and hits a crossbody. He sets up the table in the middle. Butch hits him with a step-up enzuigiri. Joe drops him with clothesline. Joe takes a beer mug to the ring but Bate snatches that from him and slams it on his face. Bate, Butch and Holland hit a triple powerbomb on Joe to get the pinfall.

We get a promo for NXT Women’s Championship match between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyrie. Tegan Nox interrupts Lyra Valkyrie backstage and tells her that she was so close to beating Becky last night, her match against Becky has to wait. Lyra snaps at Tegan for even suggesting that.
The GOAT
John Cena makes his entrance in Performance Center for the first time. Cena says this is most street he has got in the last 15 years. He talks about making history tonight with so many of us. He continues to hype NXT’s history and much more. He is about to introduce Carmelo Hayes but it is Bron Breakker who comes out. Breakker says these fans are not here to see Cena, but to see him. He also mocks Cena to think that Hayes can beat him tonight.
Cena says they all know that business runs in his blood, but his attitude is a problem and he needs to respect others. Cena says this is a teachable moment as he is here to respectfully wish him good luck. Breakker decks Cena in response. Cena avoids the spear and gets him up on the shoulder. Breakker slips away.
Cody Rhodes is backstage with NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo and Stacks. They propose a concept match for their next title contender. Cody asks them to dumb it down. They explain that the match starts as a Battle Royale, but the final two teams will fight in a standard tag team match. Cody makes it official for next week, terms it as Bada Bing, Bada Boom battle royal, and the winner of the match will take on the champion on Halloween Havoc night 1.
Baron Corbin is interviewed backstage and takes offense on Ilja Dragunov trying to turn the NXT title into a passion. He does not understand what does that mean. He says outside Carmelo Hayes, he is the only one who can put Ilja down. He keeps on speaking but LA Knight’s music hits and he makes his entrance.
Ilja Dragunov(c) vs Dominik Mysterio – NXT Championship(w/ LA Knight as the special guest referee)
Rhea Ripley is in Dominik’s corner. Ilja gets Dominik down in a chinlock. He hits a body slam before working on him in the corner. He gets Dominik down again after Dominik takes a breather in the corner. Dominik tackles Ilja to the corner. He hits some punches in the corner. Ilja brings him down and hits a senton. Big chops are followed by a German suplex. He goes for a trio of suplexes but Rhea distracts LA to allow Dominik to rake the eyes. Dominik slams Ilja’s face into the mat and throws him out. We cut to a break.
Dominik is going for 3 amigos but Dragunov blocks it and hits an enzuigiri. Dragunov hits a big clothesline after coming off the ropes. He hits quick chops before a trio of snap German suplexes despite Rhea’s attempts to cause a distraction. Ilja continues to keep with the attack with more shots and chops. Dominik counters with a chop in the corner only to anger Ilja. Ilja hits him with Machine Gun chops. Dominik fights out of a powerbomb and hits a superkick and dropkick. Ilja ducks a 619 but Dominik drops him again to the ropes to hit 619. Dragunov kicks out of the pin.
Dominik goes to the top rope. Dragunov hits him with a superplex. He poses for H-bomb but Rhea pulls Dominik to the apron. Dominik hits a DDT on the apron. Dragunov hits a powerbomb and H-bomb in the ring. He does not go for the pin though. Finn Balor runs out but LA Knight punches him. Dragunov fights off JD McDonagh before Knight hits him with a BFT. Rhea is pulled back by Trick Williams. Dragunov hits Torpedo Mascao to get the pinfall.
Winner – Ilja Dragunov
Baron Corbin comes out after the match. But it is Dijak who attacks Ilja from behind. Dijak comes down to Corbin and tells him that he will beat Corbin to get to Ilja.
Carmelo Hayes and John Cena are talking backstage. Trick Williams comes in and thanks him for coming to NXT. Hayes apologizes to Williams for not being in his corner last week. He assures that they will get his North American title back and his own NXT Championship. Williams is not happy hearing this. Hayes leaves and Williams asks Cena when did he know it was his time. Cena says they need to talk.
An SUV arrives in the parking and Jade Cargill exits it. Shawn Michaels is there to welcome her.
Baron Corbin goes to Cody Rhodes to book him for NXT Championship. Cody says Dijak has beaten him into staking the claim for the title. Cody instead announces a triple threat match for next week between Corbin, Dijak and the winner of Carmelo Hayes vs Bron Breakker.
Lola Vice vs Dani Palmer – NXT Breakkout Tournament Quarterfinal
Back-and-forth action for the first minute. Vice cuts off a leapfrog with a kick to midsection. Vice keeps the attack going for a while. Vice wraps her legs around the waist. Palmer comes out of it after a while before she fights back from the corner to hit several clotheslines and a corner tackle. Palmer misses a moonsault from the top but lands on her feet. A roundhouse kick connects. Vice avoids a legdrop and gets her in a submission. Palmer breaks free quickly but a back heel kick from Vice ends the match with a pinfall.
Winner – Lola Vice
Paul Heyman is backstage as Bron Breakker warms up before the match. Heyman says the only thing standing between him and WrestleMania Main Event is Carmelo Hayes. Breakker says he will break everyone who tries to stand in his way. Breakker leaves. Heyman calls Roman Reigns.
Women in NXT are lining up to meet Asuka. Tiffany Stratton cuts the line in front of Fallon Henley and tells Asuka to come to her if she needs anything. Henley asks Tiffany if someone does not teach her manners.
John Cena and Carmelo Hayes make their entrance before the break. Paul Heyman introduces Bron Breakker on behalf of Roman Reigns as the best on the NXT Roster and a WrestleMania moment waiting to happen.
Carmelo Hayes(w/ John Cena) vs Bron Breakker(w/ Paul Heyman)
Hayes avoids Breakker in the corner and hits some shots. Breakker fires some punches. Hayes jumps off the top and hits a crossbody. Breakker hits corner tackles. Hayes slips off her shoulders. Breakker runs the ropes but Hayes hits him with sprinboard clothesline. Breakker slips to the floor as we cut to a break.
Breakker is in control as we return from the break with a headlock. Hayes gets to his feet and starts to fight back. Breakker trips him on the ropes. Hayes hits punches but Breakker hits a DDT on the turnbuckle. Breakker hits a back elbow and a belly-to-belly suplex. Hayes fires chest slaps but Breakker tackles him to the mat quickly. Breakker hits a gutbuster next. Breakker hits more shoulder tackles. He teases 5-knuckle shuffle to mock Cena but Hayes hits a superkick. More quick shots from Hayes before he hits a neckbreaker to get a two-count.
Breakker meets him on the top rope. He hits a form of Pepsi bomb from the top rope to get a near fall. Hayes avoids him in the corner but Breakker hits a side slam to get another two-count. Hayes rolls to the floor. Breakker breaks the steel steps. Cena takes the steps away from him. Solo Sikoa runs out and Cena attacks him. They brawl to the back. Hayes counters on the floor. Back to the ring, Hayes hits a leg drop from the top rope to get the pinfall.
Winner – Carmelo Hayes
Bron Breakker hits him with a spear after the match. Breakker takes the mic and says there is only one “badass” in WWE. We hear the familiar gong and rumblings of The Undertaker’s bike. Everyone awaits the arrival of The Undertaker and he comes out on his bike. Undertaker gets into the ring and poses for the fans. Breakker tells the “Old Timer” to listen to him and there is only one badass here. Taker takes the mic away. He tells Breakker that he is watching him from a long time and wonders he will be a very special talent. It’s just that it ain’t today.
Taker decks Breakker with a big shot. Breakker is loopy. When he gets up, Undertaker hits him with a chokeslam. Hayes is watching all of this from the corner. “Undertaker” chants from the fans. Taker takes the mic again and advises him that there is also an older, bigger and better badass around the corner, but he has met the biggest of them all. The show closes with Undertaker standing tall.
