WWE NXT October 10: John Cena, Cody Rhodes & Asuka To Feature
WWE has announced two matches and a segment for October 10, 2023, episode of NXT, featuring the main roster talent of John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Asuka.
Carmelo Hayes will clash with Bron Breakker in a one-on-one match on the October 10 episode of NXT. During the October 3 episode of NXT, Breakker manipulated Hayes and encouraged him to go up against his friend, Trick Williams.
Later on backstage, Hayes mentioned that he would indeed face Breakker, and this decision was influenced by advice from John Cena. Additionally, he revealed that Cena would be in Hayes’ corner for the match.

At the conclusion of the episode, Paul Heyman made an announcement via a video segment. He revealed that he would be in Breakker’s corner for the upcoming match and mentioned that this decision came at the order of Roman Reigns as John Cena has been meddling in the Bloodline business recently. John Cena and La Knight are set to face The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in a tag team match at Fastlane 2023 PLE.
Asuka is also set for the show, where she will face Roxanne Perez. During the October 3 episode of NXT, Perez was slated to compete in a #1 contender match for the NXT Women’s title. However, towards the end of the match, Kiana James interfered and attacked Perez, leading to Valkyria’s victory in the match.
Backstage, Kiana James made an announcement that Perez would have to go through a choosen opponent to get a match agianst her. James revealed that this opponent would be none other than Asuka who would be returning to NXT.
The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes is also scheduled for the October 10 episode of NXT, where WWE indicated that he will make a “major announcement”. Rhodes and Jey Uso are set for Fastlane 2023 PLE, where they will face Finn Balor and Damian Priest for Undisputed Tag Team title match.
October 10, 2023, episode of WWE NXT will go head to head against AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday edition. That show will feature Women’s title match and Adam Copeland’s AEW in-ring debut against Luchasaurus. Below is the announced lineup for NXT which will be airing from WWE Performance Center as usual:
