WWE Reportedly Interested in Signing Rush El Toro Blanco

WWE is reportedly showing interest in signing Rush(El Toro Blanco), amid new contract rumors with AEW.

According to the report in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both AEW, and WWE are trying to sign him. Rush was signed with AEW in September last year to a full-time contract, but the specific duration of that contract has not been disclosed.

According to the report, AEW has recently made an offer to Rush that is significantly higher than what WWE’s NXT superstars are currently receiving. To compete with AEW’s offer, WWE will have to present the same amount as what their main roster talent receives.

Rush’s recent match was at the AAA TripleMania XXXI Tijuana event, where he teamed up with L.A. Park to face Sam Adonis and Psycho Clan in a tag team match, which ended in a draw. Last month, Rush announced he was leaving AAA, and participated at TripleMania with a contract with AAA.

Rush’s most recent match for AEW occurred during the May 26 episode of AEW Rampage, where he teamed up with his La Faccion Ingobernable teammates(Dralistico and Preston Vance) to face Billy Gunn and The Acclaimed’s Max Caster and Anthony Bowens.

WWE is also reportedly going through a hiring freeze this year. However, there are rumors around several wrestlers that WWE is recently interested in. Earlier this month, WWE was reported to be interested in Brian Pillman Jr. and Nick Aldis also.
