AEW Rampage May 26, 2023: Spoilers Results, Live Play By Play

Welcome to the spoilers results page for AEW Rampage episode of May 26, 2023, along with live play-by-play updates.

The event was taped at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV on May 24 with Dynamite episode which was the go-home episode for Double or Nothing 2023. matches for this show and it includes 2 trios matches and 2 tag team matches.

Ethan Page and The Gunns, who were going to face The Hardys and Isiah Kassidy at Double or Nothing, were also in action on Rampage this week. La Faccion Ingobernable’s RUSH, Preston Vance, and Dralistico took on The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Hikaru Shida take on Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir. Best Friends were in action against Big Bill and Lee Moriarty.

RESULTS

The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) & Billy Gunn defeated La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Preston Vance & Dralistico).
Ethan Page, Austin Gunn & Colten Funn defeated Frescomatic, Watson & Jeaux Braxton.
Hikaru Shida & Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. defeated Marina Shafir & Nyla Rose
Big Bill and Lee Moriarty defeated Best Friends(Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta).

PLAY BY PLAY

The Acclaimed(Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) & Billy Gunn vs La Faccion Ingobernable(Rush, Preston Vance & Dralistico).

Bowens starts against Dralistico. They trade quick shots and chops. Caster and Vance get the tags. Caster drops Vance and tags in Gunn. Gunn showboats a bit and Vance hits him with a punch. Gunn hits him with a fallaway slam and a body slam. The match breaks down as all 6 men get into the ring. LFI get control over Caster after sending other two into the barricade outside the ring. We cut to a break.

LFI are still in control. Bowens is thrown over the gaurd rail on the outside. Dralistico hits Caster with chops before nailing him with a thrust kick against the turnbuckle. Caster hits a clothesline and both men go down. Gunn and Vance get the tags. Gunn knocks off Rush and Dralistico before hitting Vance with corner splash. Gunn hits fameasser on Vance but Jose the Assistant puts Vance’s leg on the ropes. Caster throws Jose into the ring. Bowens sends Dralistico into the barricade. Bowens hits Scissor me Timbers on Jose. Rush pulls Vance out of the ring. Rush then hits kicks on Gunn. Bowens hits Rush with lungblower. He hits a side slam on Dralistico before Caster hits the Mic Drop to get the pinfall.

Winners – The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn

Bowens takes the mic and says they are running through the trios division and now want to gamble as they are in Vegas. Bowens says The House Always Wins but never bet on Black as everyone loves the Acclaimed.

Ethan Page, Austin Gunn & Colten Funn vs Frescomatic, Watson & Jeaux Braxton

Winners – Ethan Page & The Gunns

Ethan Page takes the mic and gloats about taking out Isiah Kassidy and The Hardys being a man down. The Hardys come out to the stage. Jeff says The Egos will be deleted at Double or Nothing. Matt says Ethan’s contract will be his after Double or Nothing. Kassidy comes out to the stage to join them and says he was not cleared by the doctors but he found the replacement. Hook’s music hits and he comes out to the stage to join the Hardys. Hook and The Hardys get into the ring but Page and company leave immediately.

Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes are interviewed backstage and are asked about Swerve Strickland and Brian Cage also being in Blackjack Battle Royal at Double or Nothing. Dustin says after eliminating them, he and Lee can decide withing themselves who wins the battle royal. Lee simply says he can’t wait for the battle royal.

Hikaru Shida & Dr. Britt Baker vs Marina Shafir & Nyla Rose

Nyla starts with a kick to midsection and blows to the back. Shafir tags in but Shida fights back from double team by pushing Shafir into Rose. She hits a splash in the corner before a cannonball on both opponents. Baker tags in and nails some forearms. She hits a slingblade next. Shafir tries to counter a suplex but Baker hits kicks to her bare legs. Shafir hits a big chop before stopping a tag out with front kick to the chest. Rose chokes Baker on the ropes after she gets the tag. We cut to a break.

Shafir misses a kick and hurts herself against the ropes. Shida tags in and knocks off Rose from the apron. Shida unloads on Shafir with quick shots. She gets on the second rope and hits quick punches. Shafir slips out but Shida nails her with a missile dropkick. Nyla and Baker get into the ring. Shida is thrown out and Nyla puts Baker on the ropes for a leg drop. Shida pulls Baker away before sending Nyla into the barricade and hitting her with splash. Baker and Shafir go back and forth until Baker attempts lockjaw. Shafir blocks it. Shida nails Shafir with Katana kick. Baker puts Shafir in lockjaw to get the submissions.

Winners – Hikaru Shida & Britt Baker

The Outcasts have attacked Jamie Hayter backstage. Shida and Baker run to the back but the Outcasts are gone.

Best Friends(Chuck Taylor & Trent Baretta) vs Lee Moriarty & Big Bill

Taylor starts against Moriarty. Moriarty counters an arm wringer and hits an armdrag on Taylor. Trent tags in and they switch waistlocks in quick succession. Moriarty takes down Trent with a side headlock takedown. Lee hits a chop before Taylor hits him with a cheap shot from the apron. Moriarty knocks him off the apron in frustration. Best Friends hits a double suplex on Moriarty. Bill tags in and drops both opponents with a double clothesline. Trent is thrown out before a corner splash on Taylor. Bill beats up Taylor by taking him to the floor. We cut to a break.

Trent hits a trio of German suplexes on Moriarty as we return from the break. Several of Blackjack battle royal participants are in the crowd now. Bill catches Trent’s dive and slams him to the mat. Bill tags in but misses a corner splash, crashing his face into the ring post. Taylor hits half and half suplex after a tag. Trent tags back in but Moriarty knocks Taylor off the top. Bill hits Trent with a Bossman slam. A double-team move from Moriarty and Bill but Taylor breaks the pin.

Trent sends Moriarty’s head into Bill’s groin as Bill sits on the top rope. Best Friends hit double superplex to get a near fall. Taylor looks for a move but Moriarty stops him. He kicks Trent off the apron. Bill runs over Taylor with a big boot while he is dealing with Moriarty. Bill hits Taylor with a chokeslam to get the pinfall.

Winners – Big Bill & Lee Moriarty

Big Bill starts an argument with Bandido in the front row. This starts a brawl between Blackjack battle royal participants. Orange Cassidy runs out to save Best Friends. The brawling continues on the floor. Mogul Embassy’s Brian Cage who is attacked by Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes. Cassidy just stands in the middle of the ring. Swerve Strickland comes out now but he just stands at the stage. Lee gets up the ramp. Strickland goes backstage. The show goes off the air.
