LA Knight & Zelina Vega Qualify for MITB Ladder Match 2023
LA Knight and Zelina Vega are added to the growing list of participants for Money in the Bank Ladder match for this year.
WWE held more qualifiers for the ladder match which is supposed to take place at Money in the Bank 2023 event during this week’s SmackDown(June 2) episode.
LA Knight and Montez Ford continued their rivalry with men’s Money in the Bank qualifier. After an initial burst from Ford, Knight was able to dominate the match through the commercial break. Some back-and-forth action followed, but Knight was able to dodge Ford’s crossbody off the top, rolled him up and got the pinfall using the ropes as the leverage.

This will be Knight’s first appearance in Money in the Bank ladder match. He joins Shinsuke Nakamura and Ricochet in the match, which he is rumoured to be the leading candidate to win.
Zelina Vega took on Lacey Evans in the women’s MITB qualifier. Evans took a cheap shot at Vega during the break as the ring was cleared of the props from Grayson Waller Effect talkshow. Evans dominated that match due to this undue advantage. However, Vega was able to hit Code Red to get the pinfall.
This is Zelina Vega’s second appearance in the match after she was also part of the match in 2021.
Two women’s qualifiers are set for RAW on June 5 between Becky Lynch vs Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark vs Natalya. This will be followed by two more on SmackDown next week between Iyo Sky vs Shotzi, and Mia Yim vs Bayley. Men’s qualifiers are also set for SmackDown on June 9 between Santos Escobar vs Mustafa Ali, and Baron Corbin vs Butch.
