Welcome to live results page for WWE SmackDown June 2, 2023, live from Wilkis-Barre, PA, with the build-up for WWE Money in the Bank 2023 PLE and a big celebration for Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns completed 1000 days as Universal Champion last week and he was set for a celebration segment on SmackDown June 2. There were rumors of him being handed a new title belt. But, the fans were more curious about the civil war in The Bloodline. Did the Usos’ animosity with Roman increase any further? Who did Solo Sikoa side with?

Two qualifying matches were set for Money in the Bank ladder matches. LA Knight took on Montez Ford in the qualifier to take their rivalry forward. Zelina Vega welcomed Lacey Evans back to SmackDown in the other qualifier.

Asuka appeared for the first time on the brand as the champion. Who was her first challenger? Who took on United States Champion Austin Theory next? Tune in below for results from WWE Friday Night SmackDown June 2, 2023 episode with live updates, winners, and complete action.

RESULTS

  • Austin Theory & Pretty Deadly(Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) defeated The Brawling Brutes(Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • The OC(Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) defeated Hit-Row(Ashante “Thee” Adonis & Top Dolla) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Zelina Vega defeated Lacey Evans in Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier via pinfall.
  • LA Knight defeated Montez Ford in Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier via pinfall.

Austin Theory Live

Austin Theory is in the ring. He plugs in Roman’s 1000 days reign. He says if you combine it with his own US title reign, it will equal to 1209 days. He calls it very inspiring and goes on say that he will also have 1000, 2000, 3000 days celebration if they keep giving him opponents likes Sheamus. Theory says he will now look to introduce two guys who did exactly what was right. He brings out Pretty Deadly.

They say it was a pleasure to destroy gremlins like Sheamus and it is an honor to have a champion like Theory. The Brawling Brutes trio come out now. A trios match is already set between them.

The Brawling Brutes(Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland) vs Austin Theory & Pretty Deadly(Elton Prince & Kit Wilson)

Elton Prince starts against Holland. Holland hits a big tackle before an uppercut, headbutt, corner clothesline and trip with another clothesline on Prince. Butch tags in to hit a dropkick/suplex combo with Holland. Prince tackles Butch to his corner and tags in Wilson. Wilson puts on a side headlock. Butch runs the ropes and hits a big tackle. Wilson avoids some joint manipulation and tags in Theory. Theory asks Sheamus to come in and he does. We cut to a break.

Prince is in control against Butch as we return. Theory knocks off Holland from the apron before beating up Butch some more. Wilson hits an uppercut before tagging in Prince to hit shots to midsection. Butch starts to fight back with uppercuts. He hits a tornado DDT and tags in Sheamus. Sheamus hits clotheslines on Theory followed by corner clotheslines and body slam. He then tries Beats of Battering on Pretty Deadly but Theory rolls him up for a two-count.

Sheamus hits them all with body slams. Butch and Holland come in and the Brawling Brutes hit triple White Noise on their opponents. Sheamus hits a Brogue kick on Theory but Pretty Deadly pulls them out. Sheamus hits a dive on the opposite trio before Butch hits a moonsault on the floor to take us to a break.

Butch hits an enzuigiri on Prince before hitting a German suplex and enzuigiri on Wilson. Holland hits a body slam on Wilson before Sheamus hits a clothesline from the top. Prince slips off the Celtic Cross. Theory tags in and hits Attitude Adjustment for a near fall. Sheamus blocks punches and hits a clothesline. Butch, Holland and Pretty Deadly are thrown out of the ring one by one. Sheamus counters a move from Theory with a ripcord knee for a near fall.

Holland tags in and hits double back body drop on Pretty Deadly. Butch and Sheamus join him for triple Beats of Battering on their opponents. Theory breaks a pin on Wilson after Holland hits a body slam. Sheamus and Butch are driven into the barricade on the floor. Prince takes Wilson’s place in the ring and kicks Holland away. Pretty Deadly hits their double team finisher and Austin Theory hits A-Town Down to get the pinfall.

Winners – Austin Theory & Pretty Deadly

We see a recap of how Jimmy Uso turned on Roman Reigns at Night of Champions.


Paul Heyman is talking to Solo Sikoa backstage and tells him that they have to make this night special for The Tribal Chief. He says he will go and talk to Adam Pearce to have The Usos banned from the segment. Solo does not say anything as Heyman leaves.


We get a recap of Seth Rollins winning the new World Heavyweight Championship after beating AJ Styles. AJ is with The OC backstage and says he will be ok if The OC take down Hit-Row tonight.

The OC(Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs Hit-Row(Ashante “Thee” Adonis & Top Dolla)

Adonis rushes Anderson in the corner and kicks at him. He hits a clothesline before tagging in Top Dolla for some double team. Dolla hits a back elbow before choking Anderson on the ropes. B-Fab takes a cheap shot at Anderson from outside after Adonis hits him with a running knee on the ropes. Anderson fights off a headlock with some elbow shots. He hits a spinebuster next and tags in Gallows.

Gallows hits a big boot on Adonis, knocks off Top Dolla, shots on Adonis before a back splash in the corner and a running tackle. Gallows hits a side slam. Anderson tags in and The Good Brothers hit Magic Killer on Adonis to get the win.

Winners – The OC

Top Dolla kicks Anderson after the match. He tackles Gallows off the apron. AJ Styles hits him with The Phenomenal Forearm.


Paul Heyman gets into Adam Pearce’s office who was on a call earlier calling this the biggest night of SmackDown. Pearce tells Heyman that The Usos travel was canceled and they were not happy. Also, the security is doubled to stop them from getting into the arena in case they still arrive. Heyman is impressed.

Grayson Waller Effect with Asuka

Grayson Waller is out in the ring for The Grayson Waller Effect. He brings out RAW Women’s Champion Asuka. Waller congratulates Asuka for her title win before taking us to the match recap where Asuka beat Bianca Belair. Asuka rejoices after the recap completes. Waller agrees that nobody is ready for Asuka. Waller brings up Money in the Bank ladder match before asking when does she think Bianca will be coming back for the titles. Asuka mocks Bianca in Japanese referencing her use of mist. Iyo Sky comes out and starts screaming in Japanese. Sky and Asuka argue back and forth.

Waller stops them before things get out of hand. Bayley comes out and says Iyo was saying that a member of Damage CTRL will be in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Shotzi comes out and claims that she will win the MITB briefcase. Lacey Evans also claims the same when she comes out, but she will have to put her cobra clutch on Zelina’s throat. Zelina Vega comes out and says everyone was underestimating her and claims that she was very close to beating Rhea at Backlash. Zelina says the underestimation will be very sweet when she wins MITB.

Asuka is back on the stage amid all this argument and says no one is ready for Asuka. Bianca Belair attacks Asuka from behind and starts slapping her. Referee and Crew members try to separate but they continue to tussle.


We see a recap of Baron Corbin attacking NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes. Cameron Grimes is backstage with Adam Pearce and says Corbin did the same thing to him last week. Grimes asks to take on Corbin the next time he comes to SmackDown.

Lacey Evans vs Zelina Vega – Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Evans has attacked Vega during the break as the ring was cleared from Grayson Waller Effect. Evans kicks Vega in the corner. She stands on her with one leg before hitting double knees in the corner. Evans swings Vega around before throwing her. Vega counters with roll over from the corner. Vega hits an uppercut before Evans runs her over with a clothesline. Evans slams her face into the mat a few times. Evans puts on a chinlock and some knee to the back. Vega hits upkicks to Evans’ face before slamming the face into turnbuckle in order to break Evans’s grip. Vega hits Code Red to get the pinfall.

Winner – Zelina Vega

After the break, LWO is backstage as Santos Escobar goes gaga over Vega’s qualification in the MITB ladder match. He hopes to qualify for the match next week. Rey Mysterio comes in and says its just a matter of time before they are called Mr. and Ms. Money in the Bank.

LA Knight vs Montez Ford – Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Knight ducks a lock up and pushes Ford to the ropes. They trade hammerlocks before resorting to push each other. Ford hits a dropkick after they run the ropes. Knight sends Ford to the apron with a back body drop. Ford lands on his feet and decks Knight. Knight knocks him off the apron to take us to a break.

Knight is in control as we return. Ford starts to trade punches with him before hitting a clothesline, a dropkick and another clothesline. Ford kips up but Knight counters with a spinout slam. Ford hits a back elbow. Knight replies with the same. Knight misses a springboard moonsault. Ford hits a kick and then hits Rockbottom for a two-count. Both men are down after a double clothesline. They trade more shots. Knight sends Ford to the apron. Ford hits him with an enzuigiri before they get to the top. Ford pushes Knight back down but he jumps up again. Ford pushes him back down. Knight ducks a crossbody. Ford rolls him up but Knight counters it and holds onto the ropes to get the pinfall.

Winner – LA Knight

After the match, Knight brings out a ladder to the middle of the ring and climbs to the top.


We get a video package for NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre.

Roman 1000 Days Celebration

Triple H comes out to the ring for 1000 days celebration. After the break, Triple H says every sports has a champion that took the game to next level is talked about for generations to come. He claims that Roman Reigns is the same man that they will talk to about their grandchildren. He asks the fans to welcome him. Roman makes his grand entrance with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa.

There is a podium in the ring with a title belt on it behind the covers. Triple H says to celebrate this historic achievement, it is an honor for him to give Roman the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Roman gets the title and gives his other two belts to Heyman. Roman poses with the new belt as some pyro goes off. Triple H puts it on this waist. Roman asks the entire universe to acknowledge him.

The Usos’ music hits and they come out on the stage. Roman is angry as soon as they appear. Triple H leave the ring as we cut to a break.

After the break, Roman starts accusing Jimmy of betraying him. Jimmy argues that Roman is not treating them like brothers with respect. Roman says why not they ask Solo who is he siding with. Solo takes the mic and says he acknowledges the Tribal Chief but The Usos are his brothers. Solo hands the mic to Roman and goes to stand beside the Usos. Jimmy asks Roman if he is gonna run this thing with respect or if will he be all alone.

Roman goes to ask him to shut his mouth but Jimmy pushes him away. Jey gets in between them and tells them that they can’t fight like this. They are family and they have to be together. Jimmy agrees and says Jey and Solo are his brothers, and Roman should be with them and they should run this place together. Roman is on the verge of crying at this point. He goes on and hugs Jimmy. Jey has also broken down in tears. Roman then takes the mic while still hugging Jimmy and says, “No”. Jimmy and Jey are in shock. Solo hits Jimmy with Samoan Spike to drop him.

Roman Reigns, Solo and Heyman leave the ring while Jey checks on Jimmy. Heyman asks Roman what about Jey. Roman says Jey will fall in line like he always does. Roman stares down The Usos from the stage as the show goes off the air.
