WWE RAW episode of April 22, 2024, was to be headlined by a Battle Royal to crown the new Women’s World Champion featuring the likes of Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, and others. Awesome Truth defended their tag team titles along with more action.

RESULTS & UPDATES
The commentary team opened the show with a video package of Rhea Ripley getting injured and relinquishing Women’s World Champion.
Jey Uso came out to the ring. He was quickly interrupted by World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest making way out. Priest mentioned how he told Jey that he earned his respect after a live-event a few years back, but he was going to the first of many that the machine was gonna feed him as the World Champion. Jey argued back that Priest is the leader of Judgment Day because Mami is injured. JD McDonagh tried to attack him from behind. Jey ducked it and then caught Priest with a superkick.
Awesome Truth(The Miz & R-Truth)(c) defeated DIY(Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) in a tag team match to retain World Tag Team Championships after hitting Truth Crushing Finale on Gargano for the pinfall. Ciampa was not happy after the loss and left the ring without Gargano.
Damian Priest was shouting at JD McDonagh for getting involved in his matter when it was not the plan. Dominik Mysterio came in with his left arm in a sling and with Santos Escobar alongside him. Dominik said Escobar could team up with McDonagh to replace him tonight in their tag team match against Ricochet and Andrade.
Gunther came out to the ring with Imperium stablemates Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci. He addressed not being the Intercontinental Champion after 666 days but said that Sami Zayn had freed him and he could go after any title. He announced his entry in King of the Ring tournament and put every champion on notice.
New Day interrupted Gunther with Xavier Woods claiming that he would become a two-time King of the Ring winner. After some argument, New Day challenged Imperium for a tag team match.
New Day(Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) defeated Imperium(Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) in a tag team match via pinfall after New Day hit their double team finisher.
After the match, Gunther was frustrated and threw the chair he was sitting on. Ludwig Kaiser then attacked Giovanni Vinci and sent him into the ring post, steel steps and announce table before hitting a dropkick against the steel steps.
Drew McIntyre was in the ring sitting cross-legged like CM Punk. He questioned the fans why they continue to chant for CM Punk when he had already shown that Punk was not ready to face him one-on-one. He declared for King of the ring tournament before Sheamus interrupted him. Sheamus talked about McIntyre getting his moment at WrestleMania in front of a crowd before he lost it all just for a meme material. Sheamus said that Punk gave McIntyre a good beating. McIntyre retorted by commenting on Sheamus being out of shape before saying that he would watch his match from ringside.
Sheamus defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a singles match via pinfall after hitting a Brogue kick.
Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn was interviewed backstage about Chad Gable where he said that he wanted to reserve judgment on Gable. Bronson Reed came in told him that he had bigger things to worry about than Gable. Sami told him that they can have a title match any time, anywhere. Reed left the frame but immediately ran back to attack Sami.
Chad Gable came out to the ring with the rest of Alpha Academy. He said his attack on Sami Zayn last week was justified because after they tore down the house, Sami tried to rub the loss in his face by celebrating with his family in front of him. Gable then went on to belittle each of Akira Tozawa, Maxxine Dupri and Otis. He told them that their only task from now on was to help him win Intercontinental title.
Andrade & Ricochet defeated JD McDonagh & Santos Escobar in a tag team match via pinfall after Andrade hit the Message on McDonagh. Dominik Mysterio was ringside during the match and interferred multiple times.
After the match, Damian Priest attacked Andrade and Ricochet in the ring. He shouted something in Spanish at Dominik. When McDonagh asked what he said, Priest told him that he did not need them, but they need him.
Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell were interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond ahead of the Battle Royal. We suddenly hear commotion and the camera turned towards Nia Jax and Liv Morgan being kept apart. Becky Lynch appeared and cut a promo while making her entrance. She stopped in between to motivate Maxxine Dupri, who was having a breakdown in front of Ivy Nile.
Becky Lynch won the 14-Woman Battle Royal to win Women’s World Championship. Becky last eliminated Liv Morgan by hitting the Manhandle Slam on the apron.
