Mixed Tag Team

Things kick-off with the Universal Champion Seth Rollins. Seth starts off with his speech but Becky Lynch is out right away. Becky gets a great response from the crowd. Rollins tells her that she has interrupted him. Seth Rollins gives credit to Corbin, saying he was smart enough, knowing that he could not wrestle him. But he says he wasn’t smart enough to know that he has the best backup on the planet. Becky Lynch starts mocking Lacey Evans for talking trash week after week and then tapping out right away.

Baron Corbin’s music hit but it was Lacey Evans who attacks Becky Lynch from behind and she doesn’t take long to fight back. Rollins pulls her back but Becky slightly shoves him, indicating that she wants to take care of business. Rollins smiles and allows her. Meanwhile, Corbin also comes in but Rollins easily disposes of him. Corbin takes the mic and tells Rollins to put the title around Becky Lynch’s shoulders and then tells him to go home and make a sandwich for ‘the Man’.

Baron Corbin says that Lacey Evans is the only real woman on the roster and would happily choose her as a mixed tag team partner. Lacey Evans challenges them to a Mixed Tag Team Match at Extreme Rules and Corbin puts the stipulation that both the Universal and RAW Women’s title will be on the line for the match.

The Usos and the New Day beat Daniel Bryan, Rowan and the Revival in Tag Team Elimination Match

Daniel Bryan enters with Rowan as we head to break. After we return, other teams make their way. The stipulation is something like if one member of the tag team gets pinned, then the team gets eliminated. E.g. Woods gets pinned, Big E also gets eliminated from the match.

Daniel Bryan wants to start but Scott Dawson tells him to step out. Bryan shoves him and there’s already some tension. Woods and Dawson start the match and Woods is quick to tag Big E in. Rowan tags himself in and he overpowers Big E before sending The Usos out. Big E rolls out of the way when Rowan attempts a splash.

Bryan and Woods tag in. Woods lands a kick on Bryan but the SmackDown tag team champion sends him out. He’s teasing a face turn as he’s feeding off the Washington energy. He hits a suicide dive but Woods moves out and Dawson gets hit. Daniel Bryan begins the Yes Kicks but when he runs the ropes, Wilder uppercuts him. This allows Woods to pin Bryan after a roll up. Daniel Bryan and Rowan are eliminated.

Soon, Woods try to fend off the Revival but gets caught in the Shatter Machine and is pinned. The New Day is eliminated. After the break, the Usos take out The Revival with a tandem dive over the top rope. Jey hits Wilder with a crossbody from the top rope for two-count. Jimmy tags in and they hit a double team move for a near fall.

Wilder knocks Jey off of the apron and slams Jimmy. The Revival hits a double team neckbreaker for another two-count. Dawson cuts Jimmy off on the top rope. The Revival tries to pin the wrong Uso and Jey is able to take down Wilder and hits the Superfly splash to take the win.

Braun Strowman is seen pulling a trailer to practice for tug of war with Bobby Lashley later tonight.

Miz TV with R-Truth and Carmella

Truth is paranoid when walking to the ring. He checks everything along the way, under the ring. Miz confirms that the title won’t be on the line during Miz TV. Miz plays a recap of Drake Maverick’s wedding. Truth seems proud of it and he gets a great response from the crowd. R-Truth says that the 48/7 European TV Championship is no joke. Since he got the title he can’t eat, sleep and can’t be married.

He says that superstars even come to his crib disguised as police, telling to “turn down the music” and that “his car is on fire”. Carmella justifies Truth, saying that while it may seem harsh, it just shows how dedicated Truth is to the title. Maverick comes out and says that Truth has ruined his wedding. His wife won’t talk to him. He hasn’t even consumated the marriage, to which R-Truth thinks he says that he needs fibre for his constipated marriage.

Maverick challenges him to a match one-on-one and Miz gets word that if Truth accepts, then no superstar can interfere. Truth accepts the challenge.

R-Truth Beats Drake Maverick to retain the 24/7 Championship

They start and Truth takes down Maverick and pins him right away.

Other superstars run in and Truth had to deal with them now. He fends off the Lucha House Party first. No Way Jose tries to trip him but fails. Cedric Alexander hits a single leg dropkick but Jose breaks the pin. Truth runs away in the crowd to start the chase.

Charly Caruso comes into the ring to interview Maverick but he is so distraught that he is unable to answer anything.

Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns – 2-on-1 handicap match

It’s now a 2-on-1 match and not a handicap match. Both men will fight Reigns at the same time. McIntyre corners Reigns early but Roman sends him over the top rope. He sets his sights on Shane until Drew pulls him out of the ring and throws him into the steel steps. McIntyre holds Reigns while Shane hits him with a Spear. Shane picks him up so Drew can hit the Claymore.

As Shane sets up for the Coast to Coast, The Undertaker’s gong hits. He appears in the ring and catches Shane to hit a Chokeslam. He beats Drew down in the corner before clotheslining both Shane and Drew out of the ring. Next, he does the ‘finish him’ sign as McIntyre and Shane go back up over the ramp. My only question here is: Why?

Braun Strowman beat Bobby Lashley in a Tug of War Match

They start the match and Lashley takes advantage. He pulls Strowman until the middle line but Strowman starts to come back and pulls Lashley back to win the match.

Lashley attacks him right . He sends Braun into the ring post and uses the rope to place around his forehead, pulling it aggressively. Lashley goes to attack him on the floor but Strowman tackles him. When he takes a moment to regroup, Lashley attacks him from behind. Strowman is down and Lashley celebrates while leaving.

AJ Styles is being interviewed and is asked why he is first challenging Ricochet upon returning from injury. He’s interrupted by the Congo Line and sees Gallows & Anderson a part of it. He questions their intensity, asking why they’re not being serious. They get into an argument but Gallows & Anderson vow to prove him wrong against The Viking Raiders.

The Viking Raiders beat The Good Brothers

Gallows backs Ivar to the corner and gets some offense going. Anderson comes in and lands a thunderous lariat to Erik. The Good Brothers hit the Boot of Doom for a near fall. Ivar gets the tag and takes control with a series of power moves. He takes out Gallows with a suicide dive before he and Erik take out Anderson with the Viking Experience for the win.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are backstage. Cross apologizes to Bliss, but Bliss tells her to use it as motivation and to come up with a plan to get a rematch.

After the break, Natalya and Naomi approach Nikki Cross backstage. The two of them warn Nikki Cross that Alexa Bliss isn’t to be trusted. Alexa Bliss confronts them and Naomi tells Natalya to let Cross learn the hard way. She then vows to make Alexa Bliss feel the glow in their match later tonight.

24/7 Mayhem

R-Truth runs through the crowd as Heath Slater and Mojo Rawley were getting ready for their match. Slater ends up winning the 24/7 title with a rollup before Truth pins him to win it back. Cedric Alexander hits the lumbar check and pins Truth to win the belt. EC3 hits the SOS outside the ring and pins Alexander to win the title. As EC3 celebrates, Carmella grabs the title belt and Truth rolls him up to win it back yet again. He and Mella escape to the back while others give chase. Truth is now 9-times 24/7 Champion.

Ricochet, the new United States Champion, thanks his family and the entire WWE Universe for the support he got and vows to be a fighting champion. And he will start proving it from tonight when he takes on AJ Styles.

The Impromptu KO Show

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring and Charly Caruso gets inside the ring for an interview. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn come out to interrupt them and they have some questions of their own for Kofi. 1. Why are you here? 2. Who do you think you are? 3. Why don’t you just get the hell out of here?

Kofi asks Owens if he knows he has a zit on the side of his head that is bleeding. Sami Zayn asks why Kofi is such a paper champion. Kofi brought up that he beat Owens at MITB all by myself. He beat Zayn all by himself and he beat Ziggler all by himself. Zayn hits back, calling Kofi delusional and he needs a dose of reality and who better to give it than good ol’ Sami Zayn. Kofi says that it is not about ego, but his perseverance. He says he’s tired of hearing Zayn talk

Kofi Kingston defeated Sami Zayn

Kingston gets a quick two count early to gain the upper hand. Zayn regroups with KO before they lock up again. Sami sends him to the corner and runs into a pair of boots. Kingston springboards in to take him down with a chop. Kofi hits The Boom Drop and lines up for Trouble in Paradise. Zayn ducks it and rolls Kofi up for a two count. Zayn rolls out of the ring and sucker Kofi into an attack. Owens stomps on Kofi while the ref has his back turned. Kofi hits a clothesline to buy some time. Sami suplexes him into the corner for a two count. He hits Kofi with a Michinoku driver for another near fall. Kofi takes him down with a double stomp. Zayn hits a boot to the face for a quick two count. Kofi rolls Sami up and gets the pin out of nowhere.

Kevin Owens grabs the mic and challenges Kofi to fight him right now. Wanting to look like a fighting champion, Kingston accepts.

Kofi Kingston defeated Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens tries to make quick work of Kofi Kingston. He hits a splash but Kofi’s knees go up. He beats up Kingston on the floor before Kingston flips him over to block a powerbomb. Kingston lands SOS on the steel. Kofi gets back into the ring and gets a win via countout.

Zayn tries to attack him but Kingston sends him to the floor and hits a suicide dive on Sami and Owens. As Kofi was leaving, Samoa Joe attacks him from behind. He crashes Kofi to the screen before hitting the rockbottom on the ramp. As Referees come to help Kofi, Joe again attacks him and put him in the Coquina Clutch.

Alexa Bliss defeated Naomi

Naomi gets in a few strikes before Bliss knocks her down with a clothesline. Naomi hits the split leg drop for a two-count. Naomi hits a baseball slide dropkick that accidentally hits Cross. Bliss uses the distraction to hit a DDT for the pin and the win.

Alexa starts attacking Naomi after the match and wants Cross to join in. Nikki doesn’t want to and shoves Naomi out of Alexa’s hands. Natalya runs down to defend Naomi.

Naomi hits a dropkick to Nikki before bringing in Natalya. Nikki Cross jumps on Natalya’s back but the veteran slings her down and hits a clothesline. Nikki hits a headbutt and Natalya pushes Cross towards her corner, allowing Bliss to tag in. Natalya sends Alexa into the corner before hitting several knees. Naomi hits a full nelson slam on Alexa to get a two-count. Alexa counters against Natalya and puts him in a headlock but Natalya counters with a body slam. Cross gets the tag, throws Natalya into Naomi and knocks her down. Cross hits the running bulldog but doesn’t get the pin. Nikki Cross is all pumped and she hits a crossbody on Natalya. Natalya takes her into the corner. Nikki hits swinging neckbreaker before Bliss comes in and pins Natalya.

Cross is confused at first but seems happy to have her hand raised.

AJ Styles defeated Ricochet

They lock up and AJ pushes Ricochet to the corner for a clean break. They lock up again and Ricochet wrenches the arm. AJ counters Ricochet’s counter to take him down into a headlock. US Champ hits a few arm drags to make AJ rethink his approach.

Anderson and Gallows come down to watch from ringside. Anderson tries to interfere but Styles yells at them not to. Styles asks why they’re ringside and tells them that the match isn’t going to start again until they leave.

The match is restarted after the break. Styles tries to escape a headlock. Ricochet hits a headscissor takedown followed by a dropkick for one-count. They trade punches and AJ gets the upper hand. Styles nails him with a Pele Kick out of nowhere. AJ is bleeding a little as he attempts a suplex. Ricochet counters but AJ still takes him down with a backdrop. He sends Styles out of the ring and takes him down with a suicide dive over the top rope.

Styles sends Ricochet into the corner with a suplex for a two count. Ricochet gets taken out with a spinning backfist but somehow gets an enziguri. Ricochet strikes Styles with chest slaps and Ricochet then hits an enziguri followed by a hurricanrana. He hits a standing shooting star press for another two-count. AJ sends him to the turnbuckle with a suplex and gets the flurry of strikes for a two-count. AJ hits a back elbow and a reverse DDT for a near fall. Ricochet hits a twisting suplex and a springboard moonsault for a close two count. AJ avoids the 630 and hits the Phenomenal Forearm for the pin and the win.

Styles gives Ricochet his U.S. title and poses with him to end the show.
