WWE RAW January 29: Tag Title Bout, Gunther vs Kofi, More Set
WWE has announced three matches for January 29, 2024, episode of RAW, including Undisputed Tag Team title match and Intercontinental title match.
Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Pries) will defend their Tag Team titles against DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano). In a backstage segment on January 22 episode of RAW, Rhea Ripley revealed that she had a conversation with Adam Pearce, confirming that Balor and Priest would defend their titles in the upcoming episode of RAW.
Balor and Priest last defended their title on December 18 episode of RAW against The Creed Brothers(Brutus Creed and Julius Creed).
Gunther is also set for next week’s episode of RAW where he will defend his Intercontinental title against Kofi Kingston. On January 22 episode of RAW also, the match between Xavier Woods and Kingston against Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci) concluded with a double count-out once again. In a backstage moment fueled by frustration, Kingston challenged Gunther for a title match.
New Day and Imperium’s rivalry started with the start of this year. Kofi accidentally caused a concussion to Giovanni Vinci. Since then, these two team members have fought to double count-outs in several matches.
On the January 29 episode of RAW, Jey Uso is also scheduled to face Bronson Reed. Reed issued a challenge to Jey Uso through a video segment during this week’s RAW episode.
