August 30, 2022: Ricochet confronted Carmelo Hayes to set up a match for North American Champion at this event.
August 30, 2022: WWE announced a fatal 4-way tag team elimination match to unify NXT Tag Team and NXT UK Tag Team Championships. NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers, NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, Pretty Deadly and Gallus are going to be part of the match.
August 30, 2022: Nikki ASH & Doudrop came to NXT to challenge NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the title match. Match was later confirmed by WWE.
August 28, 2022: Carmelo Hayes replied to a fan on Twitter that he has no interest in facing Velveteen Dream at Worlds Collide.
August 23, 2022: Blair Davenport called out NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose for a match at Worlds Collide. Meiko Satomura also came out to challenge Rose for a title unification match. When Blair interjected, Satomura announced a triple threat title unification match.
August 23, 2022: NXT Champion Bron Breakker and NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate agreed to a title vs title match for Worlds Collide.
August 17, 2022: WWE officially announced the return of Worlds Collide event along with a new NXT Europe brand.
