WWE NXT Spring Breakin’ 2024 Results, April 23, Night 1
Night 1 of WWE NXT Sring Breakin 2024 special aired on April 23, 2024, which featured an NXT Championship vs NXT career match between Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams. Roxanne Perez defended Women’s title against Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyrie. Tune in below for the complete results and updated below.
RESULTS & UPDATES
Triple Threat Match: Roxanne Perez(c) defeated Tatum Paxley & Lyra Valkyria in a triple threat match via pinfall to retain NXT Women’s Championship. Paxley had hit Valkyria via moonsault before Perez rolled him up in a Sunset Bridge to get the pinfall.
A vignette aired featuring Jade Cargill, Grayson Waller, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Shawn Michaels, and Paul Levesque predicting the result of the match between Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams later tonight.
Fallon Henley, Thea Hail & Kelani Jordan were backstage. Henley revealed that she would face Jacy Jayne next week. Jaida Parker confronted Henley, which led to an argument between the two and brawl.
We got a video promoting the team of Tyreek Igwe & Tyson Dupont for their NXT debut next week.
Kelly Kincaid interviewed the Diamond Mine (Ivy Nile, Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) who returned to support Trick Williams tonight.
The D’Angelo Family (Tony D’Angelo, Luca Crusifino & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) (w/ Adrianna Rizzo) defeated No Quarter Catch Crew (Damon Kemp, Myles Bourne & Charlie Dempsey) in a tag team match after Tony hit Standing Ovation Slam for the pinfall.
Baron Corbin was interrupted by Lexis King backstage with a goodbye basket. Corbin said that he was not leaving NXT. King then extended an offer to be his new tag partner. Corbin was not interested.
Jaida Parker defeated Fallon Henley in a singles match via pinfall after hitting Hip Check.
Jacy Jayne was with Jasmyn Nyx to cut a promo. Jayne said that Hail should be kissing the ground she walked through but promised to show that gratitude was something that was owed to her.
Lola Vice talking about her feud with Natalya in a vignete where she promised to become a legend at Natalya’s expense.
JD McDonagh appeared backstage for an interview to talk about Ilja Dragunov vs Trick Williams match. JD said that if Williams wanted to win, he had to hospitalize Dragunov. New Catch Republic(Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) followed up and predicted that Trick Williams would win tonight.
Lola Vice and Natalya(w/ Karmen Petrovic) came to the ring for the contract signing for their NXT Underground Match. Natalya told Vice she would tap her out. Vice replied that it would be unlikely based on who her training partner was. Shanya Baszler made her entrance to be revealed as Vice’s training partner. This ultimately led to a brawl where Natalya & Petrovic tossed Vice & Baszler out of the ring.
Ridge Holland was in the parking lot where he was confronted by Shawn Spears. Spears told Holland to embrace what he wanted to do. Holland replied that he would not fall for his games.
The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, Rezar, Scarlett & Paul Ellering) had a promo backstage. Kross said they would be taking everyone to the old days and take out anyone who gets in their way. Akam & Rezar promised to take the tag titles from Axiom and Nathan Frazer before Paul Ellering said that they were coming for all the titles.
Axiom, Nathan Frazer, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade watched The Final Testament’s promo. The Good Brothers (“The Big LG” Luke Gallows & “The Machine Gun” Karl Anderson) interrupted them and also laid claim to another title shot. Malik Blade then accidentally pushed a mirror to the ground.
Sol Ruca defeated Blair Davenport in a Beach Brawl via Pinfall after hitting Sol Snatcher.
Trick Williams was backstage speaking with his mom who asked him to “Whoop that trick” tonight. Johnny Gargano came in to met Williams and told him to use the rage from betrayal from Carmelo Hayes as a weapon.
A TikTok video of The MetaFour(Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend, Noam Dar & Oro Mensah) aired which was their travel blog before a house show.
Lexis King defeated Baron Corbin in a singles match via pinfall after hitting a Low Blow and Coronation Neck Breaker.
Johnny Gargano, Diamond Mine (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed & Ivy Nile) & New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) appeared in the crowd to watch the main event match.
Ilja Dragunov was interviewed backstage by Sarah Schreiber, where he claimed that he was going to retain the title tonight. World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest met with Damian Priest to wish him luck.
Trick Williams was interviewed by Byron Saxton ahead of the main event, where he promised to whoop that trick.
Trick Williams defeated Ilja Dragunov (c) in WWE NXT Championship vs. NXT Career singles match. The finish from the match a call back to their previous match at Vengeance Day where they both charged at each other, but Williams was able to hit Trick Shot Knee Strike instead of Dragunov hitting Torpedo Moscow.
Dragunov gave Williams the title belt after the match before they embraced. Williams celebrated with the fans to end the broadcast.
