Welcome to ITNWWE’s results coverage for WWE NXT October 3, 2023 episode which featured the fallout from No Mercy event as well as the start of NXT Women’s Breakout tournament 2023.

The show was advertised as the start of a new era for NXT. We had two new singles champions. Ilja Dragunov beat Carmelo Hayes at No Mercy to become the NXT Champion. How did his title reign start? Trick Williams beat Dominik Mysterio to win NXT North American Championship. He was set for a rematch but Judgment Day members will be available during this match.

1 match Women’s breakout tournament took place as Kelani Jordan faced Izzi Dame. We also heard from Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. The build-up for Halloween Havoc also started. Check below from 8 PM ET onwards for all the results and live updates from WWE NXT October 3, 2023 episode.


Who is next for The Man?

Becky Lynch comes out to open the show. She gives props to Tiffany Stratton to give her a great fight at No Mercy. She then references her injury and is unable to compete tonight, but will be ready by the time Halloween Havoc comes. She is also confident that she will take care of Tegan Nox easily on RAW next week. Lyra Valkyrie comes out and says her training started the same week Becky debuted in NXT, and says Becky has been an inspiration to a whole generation in Irish wrestling. She wants a title shot though. Indi Hartwell comes out next and reminds us that she never lost that title, and if Becky can do Mondays and Tuesdays, so can she. Roxanne Perez is the next to come out to stake a claim at the title. Becky tells them to fight it out in the main event while she will be on the commentary.

British Strong Style(Butch & Tyler Bate) vs Gallus(Wolfgang & Mark Coffey)

Butch and Mark start the match. Butch hits a tackle. Joe Coffey runs a distraction from outside. Gallus work on Butch briefly before Butch gets the control back. Bate tags in for a double team for joint manipulation on Mark. BSS continue to be in control with quick tags. Bate and Butch hit a double dropkick on Wolfgang. Coffey comes in but they snap his hand. Wolfgang is thrown out of the ring once again. We cut to a break.

Bate is trying to fight back but Mark throws him on the ropes. Wolfgang comes in but the referee holds him back. Joe takes a cheap shot at Bate. Bate hits back drops on Wolfgang and Mark and tags in Butch. Butch hits a series of enzuigiris on both opponents. He fires more enzuigiris on Mark in the corner. Butch hits 10 beats of Bothran on Wolfgang before hitting a dive. Mark cuts off his charge in the ring. Butch counters a suplex. Bate tags in and hit a neckbreaker. He puts Wolfgang in an airplane spin. Butch hits Wolfgang with a moonsault on the floor. Bate hits a springboard clothesline on Mark before a tope suicida on Wolfgang. BSS hits double team armdrag to get the pinfall.

Winner – British Strong Style

Joe attacks after the match. Mark and Wolfgang also join in. Ridge Holland runs out to even the odds, helps in clearing the ring and stands tall.

New Champions!

NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov comes out to the ring. He talks about Carmelo Hayes fighting hard at No Mercy, but he is the new NXT Champion. NXT North American Champion Trick Williams comes out. Trick says he stands here as the new North American Champion. Trick thanks Dragunov for pushing him to another level at Heatwave, which everyone loves and admires. Dragunov says he is proud of him and he brought that trick at No Mercy. Carmelo Hayes comes out and takes offense on the bro-mance. Hayes tells him that he has been telling for a long time that he is the championship material and he has the heart of a champion.

Hayes says winning a title different from retaining a title. Trick takes offense. Ilja also intervenes and tells Hayes that this was a talk between champions. Trick asks Hayes if he thinks he is not ready. Hayes says all he is saying that Trick should be focused on Dominik. Dominik’s music hits and he comes out to says he agrees on Hayes about defending the title being a different beast, especially when he is the one coming after. Trick mocks him on why is he always taking order from Mami. Hayes tells Trick that Dominik will definitely have backup, and he wants to be in his corner for tonight. Dominik mocks Trick for talking help from Hayes. Trick tells Hayes that he wants to do it alone.

Lyra Valkyrie vs Indi Hartwell vs Roxanne Perez – #1 Contender match for NXT Women’s Championship

Lyra and Roxanne kick at Indi to start the match. They tackle her out of the ring. They start to fight each other after this. Indi comes back in quickly and takes shots at both opponents. She throws Lyra on the ropes and rolls her up for a two-count. Indi hits a knee to midsection on Roxanne. Roxanne hits her with a hurricanrana. Lyra cuts off her suicide dive. Lyra hits a dropkick through the ropes on Roxanne. Indi catches her leg when she tries the same move on Indi and pulls her to the floor. We cut to a break.

Three-way action continues as we return. Lyra hits kicks to both women as they are on their knees. She hits enzuigiris on both women next. A dropkick on Roxanne gets her a two-count. Lyra goes to the top rope. She fights off Indi but Roxanne hits her with a hurricanrana from the top. Indi hits a running elbow on Roxanne from behind to get a two-count. Lyra rolls up Indi before Indi hits a big boot to send her to the floor. Roxanne hits Pop-Rox on Indi but Kiana James pulls Roxanne out of the ring and drops her on the floor. Becky kicks Kiana to drop her. Lyra hits a frog splash on Indi to get the pinfall.

Winner – Lyra Valkyrie

Becky gets into the ring after the match and has a face-off with Lyra. Tegan Nox also comes out for a breif staredown.


Bron Breakker meets Carmelo Hayes backstage and tells him that fans started chanting for Ilja Dragunov as soon as he lost the title. He tells Hayes to use the frustration and anger on everyone, and specially on Trick Williams. Hayes says Trick is his man. Breakker asks where he was when Hayes lost the title.


Ilja Dragunov gets his side plates on NXT Championship. Baron Corbin comes up and stakes his claims for the title as he is the only one to beat him recently other than Carmelo Hayes. Ilja says he does not think Corbin gets a title shot. Corbin tells him to get as many photos with the title as he can for the time being.

Blair Davenport vs Gigi Dolin

Gigi attacks Blair from behind as she finishes her entrance in the ring. The bell rings and Gigi hits a tackle and a dropkick to her face to get a two-count. Blair hits a double stomp to her back from the second rope to get a two-count herself. Blair hits a knee to ribs before more kicks and a double stomp to the back for another two-count. Blair misses a senton. They trade big punches. Gigi catches a kick to hit dragon screw.

Gigi clotheslines Blair to the floor. Blair slams Gigi’s face into the announce table. She tries to uses a steel chair but Gigi ducks it and hits some quick shots before a couple of clotheslines. Gigi hits a big kick to the face. Gigi then tries to use the chair but Blair ducks it and takes the chair herself. The referee grabs the chair and Gigi rolls up Blair to take advantage and gets the pinfall via roll-up.

Winner – Gigi Dolin

Kiana James is interviewed backstage about why she attacked Roxanne Perez during her match. Kiana says she and Roxanne were in Women’s Breakkout tournament last year but everyone keeps Roxanne on a higher level than her, and she will not let it continue. Kiana says, to get a match against her, Roxanne will need to beat The Empress of Tomorrow Asuka next week.


The participants of Women’s Breakkout Tournament are introduced.

Izzy Dame vs Kelani Jordan – NXT Breakkout Tournament Quarterfinal

Dame hits a shot and uses an arm wringer. Kelani fires back with some moves. Dame throws her to the ropes. Kelani tries to whiplash back but Dame kicks at her. Dame hits a body slam after manhandling her for a while. Dame hits knee strikes in the corner before a backbreaker. She hits a double stomp on the throat to get a two-count. Dame puts on a choke on the floor. She then uses a torture rack next. Kelani counters with a sunset flip to get a two-count. Da misses a kick and a knee strike. Kelani hits an armdrag and a couple of dropkicks. She hits a crossbody to get a two-count. Jordan hits a pump kick but Kelani kicks out again. Kelani counters with a kick in the corner before hitting a split-legged moonsault to get the pinfall.

Winner – Kelani Jordan

We see how Elektra Lopez commented on Thea Hail’s post on social media, leading to an argument and to a match. Backstage, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson offer to be in Thea and Jacy Jayne’s corner. Jacy declines first but then says it might be a good idea.

Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail vs Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice

Thea starts against Lopez and uses a counter to take down Lopez to the mat. She hits an armdrag but Lopez quickly hits her with a slam. Lola tags in. Lopez takes a cheap shot from outside. Lola nails Thea with a clothesine. She hits a big kick to the back. Lola puts on a chinlock. Thea rolls over to break the grip. Lola takes a cheap shot at Jacy. Thea counters in the corner to slam her face into the turnbuckle. Jacy gets the tag and hits a clothesline on Lola, knocks off Lopez from the apron, and hits a neckbreaker on Lola to get a two-count. Lola hits a spinning back elbow to drop her. Lopez tags in but misses a tackle in the corner. Jacy hits a discuss lariat. Thea tags in and puts on Kimura lock on Lopez to get the submission.

Winner – Thea Hail & Jacy Jayne

Carmelo Hayes is leaving the arena as Trick Williams does not need him. Hayes says he will face Bron Breakker next week as he got an advice from John Cena – the GOAT. He says Cena is a 16-time World Champion which means he has to get up from the mat 15 times, and that is exactly the advice Cena gave him. Hayes says Cena will be in his corner next week on NXT.


Announced for NXT next week – Cody Rhodes to make a major announcement; Carmelo Hayes(w/ John Cena) vs Bron Breakker; Asuka vs Roxanne Perez.

Trick Williams(c) vs Dominik Mysterio – NXT North American Championship

Rhea Ripley is in Dominik’s corner. Dominik starts strong. Trick hits a shoulder tackle and a dropkick. He sends Dominik flying and lands an uppercut as he comes down. Dominik moves to the floor for a breather. We cut to a break.

Other members of Judgment Day – Damian Priest and Finn Balor – also come out as Dominik hits a side slam. He hits big punches next. Dominik hits an uppercut as Trick comes off the ropes. He puts on a chinlock. Trick hits back elbow to ribs. Dominik whips him to the corner. He hits some more hard whips to the corner. Dominik boots Trick on the ropes. Rhea talks trash to Trick before Dominik hits more stomps. Dominik goes for three amigos but Trick slips out of the third suplex to hit a neckbreaker. Trick hits some uppercuts before a pump kick and a slam.

Trick hits an Urinage to get a two-count. Rhea Ripley throws in her title and distracts the referee. Dominik hits a DDT on the belt but Trick kicks out of the pin. Dominik slingshot Trick to the ropes and hits 619. Trick gets his knees up on a splash. Trick hits jumping knee on Dominik. The referee gets distracted by Judgment Day again. JD McDonagh runs in but Trick hits him with a jumping knee. Damian Priest throws in his MITB breifcase into the ring but the referee catches it. Finn Balor hits Trick with a title behind his back. Dominik hits a frog splash to get the pinfall.

Winner – Dominik Mysterio(title change)

Judgment Day and JD McDonagh celebrate with Dominik in the ring.

We cut to a parking lot somewhere as Paul Heyman cuts a promo. He says John Cena will be in Hayes’ corner, so, The Tribal Cheif Roman Reigns has given him the responsibility to guide Bron Breakker. And, he will do it in person next week from his corner.
