Wes Lee vs Cameron Grimes vs Johnny Gargano vs Bronson Reed — Credits- NXT

Welcome to the live results blog for WWE NXT episode for November 28, 2023 episode, which will continue the build-up for Deadline 2023.

Wes Lee is set to face 3 former North American Championship in order to get a title shot against Dominik Mysterio at Deadline. These 3 former champions are Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed and Cameron Grimes.

Iron Survivor Challenge matches will see Bron Breakker facing Eddy Thorpe and Kiana James taking on Kelani Jordan. Tony D’Angelo and Stacks will defend NXT Tag Team titles against Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza. Tune in below for results and updates from WWE NXT.

Tony D’Angelo & Stacks(c) defeated Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza in a tag team match via pinfall to retain NXT Tag Team Championship.
Kelani Jordan defeated Kiana James in Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match via pinfall.
Bron Breakker defeated Eddy Thorpe in Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match via pinfall.
Ilja Dragunov defeated Nathan Frazer in a singles match via pinfall.
Lexis King defeated Brooks Jensen in a singles match via pinfall.
Wes Lee defeated Cameron Grimes, Bronson Reed & Johnny Gargano in a fatal 4-way match to earn a title shot against Dominik Mysterio.

LIVE UPDATES

Tony D’Angelo & Stacks(c) vs Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza – NXT Tag Team Championship

The Family attacks Garza and Carrillo on the stage itself as they were making their entrance. The match starts with Tony and Stacks hits a powerbomb and neckbreaker combo on Carrillo for a near fall. Big rights from Stacks on Carrillo. Tony hits belly-to-belly suplexes. Carrillo comes back with chops on Tony. Garza comes in to stomp Tony in the corner. Tony hits a spear on Carrillo when he tags back in. Stacks run over both opponents with clotheslines and dropkicks. Carrillo dodges him in the corner and tags in Garza to take control. Quick tags between the cousins who drop Stacks with double dropkick. Tony hits a German suplex on Carrillo after a blind tag. Garza trips Stacks from outside and Carrillo hits a powerbomb from the top rope. We cut to a break.

After the break, Stacks dodges a move on the corner. Tags to Don Tony and Carrillo. Tony hits a variety of suplexes on Carrillo. Garza makes the blind tag and Stacks also comes in from the other side. Garza hits a running knee. Tony pulls Carrillo out of the ring to stop a double team attack. Stacks lands an uppercut on Garza before Carrillo tags in. Carrillo and Garza hit Stacks with a dropkick-powerbomb combo. Carrillo hits a spinebuster on Tony on the outside. Garza hits a low blow on Stacks behind the referee and follows with a double underhook piledriver. Stacks’ kick out turns into a low blow on Garza. Tony tags in and throws Carrillo out of the ring. The Family hits Bada Bing Bada Boom on Garza. Tony throws Stacks on Carrillo outside before getting the pin on Garza.

Winner – Tony D’Angelo & Stacks

Axiom and Nathan Frazer are talking backstage watching the footage of Baron Corbin’ lifestyle comparison with Ilja Dragunov. Frazer compliments Corbin’s riches. Dragunov comes in and takes offense, asking if what he is doing means nothing. Frazer tries to say that he did not mean that. They continue to argue for a while.

We get a video package for Johnny Gargano before his match tonight.

Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen are backstage with Fallon Henley talking when Lexis King comes in to take credit for Briggs’ win last week over Carmelo Hayes. He then tries to mock Jensen saying that nobody put him in a qualifier. Briggs steps up and challenges King for a match tonight to face Jensen.

Kelani Jordan vs Kiana James – Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match

Back-and-forth start to the match. Jordan hits corner tackles. She shuts down James’ counter with a side headlock takeover. James counters with headscissors. Jordan puts on the headlock once again. James pulls her hair to counter her and hits a tackle. Jordan goes for an armdrag but James uses the ropes to block it. Jordan hits armdrag on the second attempt to send James to the floor. Jordan hits a hurricanrana on the floor. James hits a back body drop to drop Jordan on the announce table.

Jordan hits a handspring clothesline as we return from the break. They trade blows before Jordan hits a leg scissors. They get to the top rope. Jordan uses more unfair tactics to get Jordan down from the top with 401k. Roxanne Perez rings the bell to distract James as she is going for Dealbreaker. Jordan counters by sending her into the corner and hits split-legged moonsault to get the pinfall.

Winner – Kelani Jordan

Alpha Academy are backstage and Gable talks about how close he was to dethrone Noam Dar. They challenge Meta-Four for 6 person mixed tag team match. They want the answer to their challenge by the end of the show tonight.

We see a video posted by NXT Anonymous footage where Lexis King is seen following Trick Williams into a room before he was attacked last month.

Andre Chase holds a press conference to reveal that he is charged with gambling and mismanagement of Chase University funds. He assures his full cooperation in the enquiry but refuses to reveal to who he owns money.

Bron Breakker vs Eddy Thorpe – Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier Match

Thorpe’s ribs are heavily taped. They start the match with rest holds. Breakker hits a bodyslam. Thorpe hits back with a dropkick to send Breakker out to the floor. Breakker hits a big tackle before throwing him out of the ring and into the barricade. He hits more shoulder tackles before putting him Thorpe on the top rope. Thorpe kicks him away and hits a crossbody. Bron hits a double gutbuster to get a two-count. We cut to a break.

Breakker is in absolute control when we return. Breakker continues to toy around with him for the next two minutes. When Breakker talks trash, Thorpe starts to hit big rights. Breakker remains unaffected for a while but Thorpe is able to drop him after more shots. Thorpe hits back drop suplexes. He uses momentum from the ropes to hit a German suplex. Breakker hits a spear out of nowhere to get the pinfall.

Winner – Bron Breakker

Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes meet backstage and talk about Lexis King footage revealed earlier. They want to get back at King. Williams says he does not want to do anything stupid before Iron Survivor Challenge. Hayes says he does not have any challenge to focus on.

Roxanne Perez brags about how she has also stopped Kiana James from getting into Iron Survivor Challenge, just like James did to her. It is then revealed that all the losing women from the qualifiers will participate in a last chance qualifier next week. A brawl starts in the locker room after someone attacks Perez.

Ilja Dragunov vs Nathan Frazer

Dragunov rushes and lands a running boot. He is too angry at Frazer and throws him around to the corner. Frazer counters a corner splash with a big boot. Dragunov hits rapid fire chops to drop him again. Dragunov hits German suplexes and keeps control for the next minute. Frazer comes back with a headscissors takedown. Frazer lands some quick punches before a jumping knee. Dragunov’s enzuigiri is countered with a dropkick to midsection.

Frazer keeps the momentum going with a kick in the corner and a springboard dropkick. Dragunov blocks a suplex. Frazer lands on his feet when Dragunov hits a German suplex. Frazer hits an inverted DDT but then misses a Pheonix splash. Dragunov hits a powerbomb and a H-bomb, but pulls out of the pinfall to hit another H-bomb. He hits the third H-bomb to get the pinfall.

Winner – Ilja Dragunov

After the match, Baron Corbin appears on the big screen and mocks Ilja Dragunov once again. He announces that they will come face-to-face next week for the final time before their match at Deadline.

McKenzie Mitchell interviews NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria to talk about what is next for her. Fallon Henley comes in and claims to win Iron Survivor Challenge after qualifying next week. Valkyria says she has no doubt about her talents.

We get a video package from Karmen Petrovic talking about Arianna Grace.

Lexis King vs Brooks Jensen

Jensen starts with an overhead kick. King rolls to the floor. Jensen hits a crossbody and poses on the barricade. We cut to a break.

King is in control as we return and hits kicks to back before putting on a chinlock. Jensen hits chops but King gets him down again nand puts on chinlock again. Jensen hits a backdrop suplex, a superkick and a missile dropkick. Carmelo Hayes comes out to the apron. Briggs pulls him back. The distraction allows King to hit coronation(corkscrew neckbreaker) to get the pinfall.

Winner – Lexis King

Wes Lee vs Cameron Grimes vs Bronson Reed vs Johnny Gargano – If Lee Wins, He faces Dominik Mysterio at Deadline

Reed starts with a Thesz press on Lee. Grimes and Gargano attack him but Reed runs them over with a double clothesline. He drops Lee on the ropes and then catapults him over the other two. Reed stands tall to take us to a break.

Reed has Gargano up in the air for a while before he finishes up a delayed vertical suplex. Lee saves Grimes by hitting a dropkick. The other three competitors batter Reed with attack in tandem. Reed falls to the floor after 30 seconds of continous attack. 3 way back and forth. Gargano and Lee hit a double dropkick on Grimes to send him to the floor. They shake hands before locking up. They duck each other’s moves several times. Reed comes in and drop them both at the same time with Urinage into a DDT.

Grimes hits side kicks on Reed but Reed hits him with an Urinage. Gargano uses a catapult to hit a low blow on Reed. Grimes drops Gargano and Lee with inverted atomic drops and kicks. Grimes hits a hurricanrana on both men at the same time. 3 men duck each other before Lee hits a suicide dive on Reed on the floor. Gargano also hits hits suicide dives on all 3 opponents one by one.

Gargano hits a slingshot spear on Grimes but Lee breaks the pin. Lee jumps of Gargano’s back to hit a Meteora on Grimes to get a near fall. Reed hits a slam on Lee to get a near fall. Grimes hits some kicks on Reed before hitting a crossbody for a near fall. Gargano’s DDT is blocked by Reed before he hits a corner splash on the other two. He hits a fallaway slam on 3 men at the same time.

The other 3 have to work together to hit a powerbomb on Reed. They start to trade strikes after that. Grimes hits a Spanish Fly on Lee to get a near fall. Gargano cuts off with a superkick. Gargano goes for GargaNo Escape. Lee hits a senton to break them up. Reed hits a bucklebomb on Lee and sentons on the other two. Reed throws Lee into the other two from the top rope.

Reed goes for Tsunami but Ivar attacks him. Reed starts fighting him. Ivar lands a roundhouse kick. Reed sends him into the barricade. They brawl to the back. Lee tries to get pins on Gargano and Grimes. Grimes hits Over the Moon stomp on Gargano. Lee hits Kardiak kick on Grimes to get the pinfall.

Winner – Wes Lee

Kaina James and Roxanne Perez are fighting in the parking lot.
