WWE NXT Deadline 2023 is a NXT PLE special show, which is scheduled for December 9, 2023, at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT. Two Iron Survivor Challenge matches are going to be the highlight of the show. Ilja Dragunov will defend NXT Championship against Baron Corbin.

NOTES & STORYLINES

NXT introduced a new PLE series in 2022 titled as Deadline. With War Games moving to main roster, NXT created a new match format specially for Deadline event, named the Iron Survivor Challenge. After 2022 edition, Iron Survivor Challenge matches are set to return in 2023 edition also.

Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge

Qualifier matches took place for Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge. The matches and winners of these qualifiers are as below:

Ilja Dragunov(c) vs Baron Corbin – NXT Championship

On Night 2 of Halloween Havoc 2023, Baron Corbin attacked NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov after his title match. Wes Lee returned to face Baron Corbin on November 14 episode. After this match, Dragunov tried to attack Corbin, but Corbin turned the tables on Dragunov itself. After this, Dragunov said he would face Corbin at Deadline for NXT Championship.

Dominik Mysterio(c) vs Dragon Lee – NXT North American Championship

On November 21 NXT episode, Wes Lee called out Dominik Mysterio to defend North American Championship against him at Deadline. Dominik countered by saying that Lee will need to face 3 other former champions the following week in a fatal 4-way match, and if wins that match, he would get a title shot.
