WWE NXT Results January 9, 2024, Winners, Updates
WWE NXT presented their second weekly show of 2024 on January 9, which featured a big development in the NXT North American title scene.

RESULTS
Blair Davenport attacked Nikkita Lyons in the parking lot before the show. Blair and Nikkita brawled to the ring to start their match.
Blair Davenport defeated Nikkita Lyons. Blair worked Nikkita’s surgically repaired knee during the match before hitting a knee to the face to get the pinfall.
Carmelo Hayes apologized to Trick Williams for coming out during his match to help him as he did not want to leave anything to chance. Carmelo tells Trick that while he wait for Ilja Dragunov to return for his title shot, he had got them in Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Trick did not want to do it, but Carmelo convinced him.
Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker defeated Gallus(Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) in first-round match for Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Tiffany Stratton was at Fallon Henley’s ranch. Henley put her up to work.
NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyrie came out and announced that her challenger for Vengeance Day will be determined by a Battle Royal next week. The twist in the Battle Royal is that the final 4 remaining will fight in a fatal 4-way match. Lola Vice came out with her NXT Breakout tournament title contract and Elektra Lopez. After a war of words, Vice and Lopez attacked Lyra before Tatum Paxley made the save.
Backstage, Meta-Four were watching and laughing over the segment from last week featuring Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen and Fallon Henley parting ways. Josh Briggs came in to challenge Noam Dar for a rematch for NXT Heritage Cup. When Oro Mensah talked back, Briggs told him to handle their beef in the ring tonight.
Ava Raine is outside Shawn Michaels’ room. Dragon Lee met her and told her that his visa issues were sorted and he is here from now on. Lexis King came in with a contract for title match. Lee accepted the challenge to face him and signed the contract for the match tonight.
Josh Briggs defeated Ora Mensah in a singles match. Meta-Four interfered in the match multiple times. Briggs hit a chokeslam on Mensah before Noam Dar tried to hold Briggs off. But, Briggs fought off and finished Mensah with a lariat to get the pinfall.
We went back to Tiffany Stratton and Fallon Henley at Henley’s ranch where Henley told Tiffany to bath a horse. After she was done and was looking to leave, Henley told her to clean the stable also which had all the horse muck.
The Family(Tony D’Angelo & Stacks) defeated OTM(Bronco Lima & Lucien Price) to retain NXT Tag Team Championship. The match featured several near falls and breaking up pins. When Scrypts tried to interfere, Adrianna Rizzo knocked him into Lima. Stacks took out Price on the floor before Tony dropped Lima with his finisher to get the pinfall.
NXT Breakout Tournament winner Oba Femi was backstage with his title contract, talking about cashing it in soon. Lexis King came in with his own contract and bragged about having a title match later tonight and taking over Tuesday nights in future.
We cut to Gallus backstage as they are angry about losing their match in Dusty Rhodes Classic. Ridge Holland walked by and got stopped by Gallus for some words.
Cora Jade defeated Gigi Dolin in a singles match. After a back and forth match, Jade held onto the ropes to block Gigi’s finisher and hit Jaded DDT to get the pinfall.
OTM were in the parking lot when they got stopped by a lady to talk about their business.
Axiom & Nathan Frazer defeated Tank Ledger & Hank Walker in first-round match of Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Ledger and Walker used their size advantage at the start of the match before Axiom and Frazer used high flying move to comback. Frazer hits a twisting splash to get the pinfall.
We went back to Fallon Henley’s ranch where Tiffany Stratton ended up falling into horse bath.
Dragon Lee defeated Lexis King to retain NXT North American Championship. Lee hit his finisher after a short match to get the pinfall.
After the match, Oba Femi came out cash in his Breakout tournament contract.
Oba Femi defeated Dragon Lee to win NXT North American Championship. Lee started the match with suicide dive before more quick moves in the ring. Femi quickly took control and hit a powerbomb to get the pinfall.
