7 matches were set once again with NXT Championship match between Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes being the headliner. Bron Breakker had a fairly easy challenge in front of him in the form of Mr. Robert Stone.
Women’s Breakkout Tournament Final was also set for the show between Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan. Dominik Mysterio defended NXT North American Championship against Nathan Frazer. The Creed Brothers faced Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo in Tables, Chairs & Scares match. Women’s Tag Team title match was between Chelsea Green & Piper Niven and Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail. Co-hosts Shotzi and Scarlett are dressed up like the Ghostbusters as the show opens in the parking lot. They send us to New Year’s Day playing “Hurts Like Hell” live at the venue.
The Creed Brothers(Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) defeated Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo via pinfall in Tables, Ladders & Scares match.
Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre arrive at NXT as they help the hosts Scarlett and Shotzi in talking to ghosts.
Tiffany Stratton is interviewed backstage and is asked about Fallon Henley doing her impression last week. She does not say anything.
A video from Joe Gacy where he says he is restraint-free now and is on a path of vengeance.
Fallon Henley comes out to her music but she gets attacked from behind by Tiffany Stratton. Stratton beats her down at ringside. Henley is in no shape to continue for the match.
Noam Dar and The Meta-Four are dressed up like Scooby-Doo and his gang as they search through a haunted house in search for Dar’s Heritage Cup trophy which was stolen by Akira Tozawa last week.
Dominik Mysterio(c) defeated Nathan Frazer via pinfall to retain NXT North American Championship after pushing Frazer off the top rope into the announce table and following up with a frog splash to get the pinfall.
Wes Lee attacks Dominik Mysterio after the match as he returns to NXT after a month.
Andre Chase is with Jacy Jayne as she asks to return the favor from last week. Chase tries to tell her to fair and square but Thea Hail and Duke Hudson come in. Jacy and Thea leave while Tony D’Angelo and Stacks come in asking for a title rematch.
Bron Breakker defeated Robert Stone in a squash match. Breakker continues to beat up Stone after the match until Wagner’s music hit and he comes out. Wagner lays out Breakker on the steel steps and picks up another step, but Breakker runs away.
Chelsea Green & Piper Niven(c) defeated Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail to retain WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Jayne tried to use title belt in the finish but Andre Chase stopped her. Green capitalized on the confusion to hit Jayne with Unpretty-her to get the pinfall.
Lexis King is sitting on a throne as he gets interviewed about what’s next for him. He gives a cryptic answer.
Lola Vice defeated Kelani Jordan in the final of NXT Women’s Breakout 2023 Tournament.
Noam Dar finally finds Heritage Cup trophy but he gets surrounded by ghosts. He begs them to let him go. Tozawa takes the trophy from Dar. He hands it back after getting a title match next week.
Ilja Dragunov(c) defeated Carmelo Hayes via pinfall to retain NXT Championship. Trick Williams came out before Hayes was looking to hit a leg drop. Dragunov hit Hayes with a superplex and Torpedo Mascow to get the pinfall.
Williams gets into the ring to pick up Hayes and stare him down. Hayes had guilt written all over his face. Baron Corbin attacked Dragunov at the Gorilla Position.
