NXT and Dynamite are going head to head on Tuesday, October 10, after more than a year. Both promotions are gearing up for the battle and have loaded up the card.

WWE announced on Monday that NXT will go commercial-free for the first time 30 minutes. The show will feature the likes of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Asuka and The Undertaker. Asuka is set to take on Roxanne Perez while Cena will be Carmelo Hayes’ corner. Paul Heyman will be Bron Breakker’s corner as he faces Hayes. Cody Rhodes is set to make an announcement.

AEW President Tony Khan also announced later in the day that Dynamite will also air commercial free for the first 30 minutes. Dynamite features a total of 6 matches including Adam Copeland’s AEW debut match against Luchasaurus, International title match between Rey Fenix and Jon Moxley, as well as the likes of Jay White, Bryan Danielson, Adam Page and Saraya in action.

Khan also announced a pre-show for Dynamite which will start at 7:30 PM ET on AEW’s Youtube channel. Pre-show will feature a match between Eddie Kingston and Minoru Suzuki for ROH World title and NJPW Strong Openweight title.

The show is important for the bragging rights for both promotions. WWE is looking to secure a new TV deal for NXT, which would get a boost if the show gets better viewership in this head-to-head telecast. For AEW, it will be a matter of pride if they do not beat WWE’s developmental brand, which they have consistently beaten when both shows used to air on Wednesdays head to head every week.
