WWE NXT 2.0 episode of February 22, 2022, is all set to mark the in-ring return of Dolph Ziggler to NXT. He will collide against Tommaso Ciampa in a no. 1 contender’s match for the WWE NXT Championship. Moreover, LA Knight will finally get his hand on Grayson Waller for some payback.

Breakker Will Remain Champ

NXT Champion Bron Breakker comes out to the ring. He says they have to take the NXT title over his dead body. He announces NXT Stand and Deliver to take place on April 2, and plans to come out of the event as the champion.

Dolph Ziggler interrupts him and wonder whether he will make it to Stand & Deliver. Ziggler says he will stomp Tomasso Ciampa head into the mat and then carry Breakker to Stand & Deliver. Breakker says Ziggler kicked him last week, so, why not he comes into the ring. Ziggler says Breakker gets a night off tonight, as he is barred from his match tonight.

LA Knight vs Grayson Waller

Waller gets out of the ring as it starts. He does this a few more times. Knight drops him with a clothesline. A flying shoulder tackle follows. Waller sends him into the turnbuckle. Knight drops him on the ropes, groin first. Knight hits a big boot to drop him to the floor and take us to a break.

Waller sends Knight into the steel steps as we return after Knight gets distracted by Sanga. Waller in control in the ring for a while. Knight hits a backdrop suplex to come back. Knight with a jumping clothesline, back body dropm, neck breaker. Sanga holds on Waller to stop Knight’s finisher and Waller rolls him up and gets the pin holding onto the tights.

Winner – Grayson Waller

After the match, Knight hits BFT to both Sanga and Waller.

Dakota Kai goes to Wendy Choo and asks why they are in Dusty cup. Choo says she told her friend who she talks to all the time. Kai talks about her bad track record with tag team partners. Choo says she has not teamed with her till now.

Cora Jade takes Raquel Gonzalez to an adventure park to prepare for Dusty Cup in her way. Raquel apparently has a fear of heights. Raquel has a good time at the park as she battles her fear. They are ready for Dusty Cup now.

Toxic Attraction are in a special booth to watch over the Dusty Cup. They downplay all the other new teams that are made for this tournament – Jade & Raquel, Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray.

Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray vs Lash Legends & Amari Miller – Women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic Round 1

Io Shirai quickly drops Lash on the ropes and hits 619. Shirai with more moves on Lash before she counters and tags in Millar. Millar runs over Shirai. Shirai plants her and tags in Kay Lee Ray for double team. Ray with a dropkick before Millar rolls her up for a two-count. Lash comes back and gets hit with a superkick. KLR bomb connects. Shirai hits splash for the win.

Winner – Io Shirai & Kay Lee Ray

Dante Chen is backstage for an interview for his issues with Duke Hudson. They will face off in the ring tonight. Chen says it will be hard for Duke to sweep Persia Pirotta off her feet when he doesn’t have a leg to stand on after their match tonight.

Josh Briggs has a plan to get Brook Jensen a date. They record a video for dating sites, but Jensen is not doing a good job.

Dante Chen vs Duke Hudson

Chen attacks Hudson during the entrance. He slams Hudson’s knee to the apron and ring post. Hudson pulls him into the ringpost to come back into the match. Chen with a clothesline and a DDT to get a two-count. Hudson drops him on turnbuckle and then hits a big boot. Hudson hits throwing crucifix powerbomb for the pin and the win.

Winner – Duke Hudson

North American Champion Carmelo Hayes is out with Trick Williams. Carmelo says he stole the show last week, and no one is talking about Bron Breakker or any one else. They talk about Stand & Deliver before getting interrupted by Pete Dunne. Dunne says Hayes has not defeated him yet. Dunne challenges him for a title match next week. Hayes accepts. Trick continues to talk trash until Cameron Grimes attack them and sends them to the floor.

Cameron Grimes vs Trick Williams

Grimes starts with a shoulder tackle and Williams moves to the floor for a breather. Grimes slams him into the turnbuckle a few times before dropping him with back elbows. Trick comes back with an elbow after Grimes have a staredown with Hayes. Trick keeps control of the match for a while. He hits a twisting slam and a dropkick to get a two-count. Trick with a spinning kick as Grimes comes off the ropes.

Grimes comes back with hiptoss, flying elbows and a dropkick. Back and forth action until Grimes hits a tilt-a-whirl Urinage. Williams goes to the floor again. Grimes hits a superkick on the floor. He hits a crossbody dive and Cave-in to get the win.

Winner – Cameron Grimes

Brook Jensen tries to record videos for a dating site once again and fails terribly. He starts to talk about Kayden Carter and finally asks Briggs to stop recording.

Ciampa is lifting dumbells backstage. Breakker says he is looking forward to his match tonight. Ciampa tells him that they are at 1-1, and he wants to find out who is the better man. Breakker says they will have a rubber match.

A vignette for Nikkita Lyons.

Andre Chase is in his class. He talks about Intestinal Fortitude which means to have some balls. He says Von Wagner has lost his balls after failing Robert Stone. He shouts on his students on asking questions. Bodhi Hayward hypes him up.

Nikkita Lyons vs Kayla Inlav

They start with a lock-up, into a headlock from Lyons. She tosses Inlav. A spinning heel kick from Nikkita. A hip toss after running the ropes. She goes for a German suplex but Inlav rakes her face against the ropes. Inlav with shoulder blocks in the corner. Nikkita counters with a sunset flip. Quick strikes drops Inlav. Nikkita hits sidekicks. Inlav counters German suplex before Lyons counters again to finally hit it. A big roundhouse kick to the face and leg drop get her the win.

Winner – Nikkita Lyons

Backstage, Persia Pirrota goes to Duke Hudson and praises her. Duke kisses her all of a sudden. Indi Hartwell comes in and says it is gross. Persia is embrassed and leaves. Duke tells Indi that she use to enjoy it. Dexter Lumis was listening this and hangs her head. He leaves. Indi runs behind him.

Robert Stone is with Von Wagner backstage. Stone says it is stupid of Chase to challenge Wagner, and he will leave with a disability.

Imperium & Diamond Mine

2022 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Classic Winners Creed Brothers are out with Malcolm Bivens. Bivens says NXT Tag Team Champions Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner say they are the best tag team here, but they did not win Dusty Rhodes classic or have defended their titles in weeks. He continues to talk trash about them until Imperium shows up.

Gunther says Bivens will not speak about Imperium like this. Imperium reiterates that they will keep tag titles with them. A brawl breaks out. Barthel and Aichner are fighting Creed Brothers. Gunther is about to pick Bivens when Solo Sikoa attacks Gunther and drops him with a spinning kick.

Joe Gacy is with Harland as they get interviewed for approaching Draco Anthony in the gym past weekend. Gacy says they approached Draco in the space he is most comfortable in. Gacy says after Harland beats Draco, Draco will know that it is better to be surrounded by friends than be alone.

Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley vs Kayden Carter & Kacy Catenzaro

Paxley pushes Carter to the mat to start. Carter hits a dropkick off the ropes. Catenzaro comes in but Paxley picks her up and Ivy hits her with a big punch to the midsection. Paxley uses the ropes to hurt her more. Kacy escapes Nile and tags in Carter. Carter comes in hot and knocks Paxley off the apron. She hits a superkick to Nile.

Nile hits back with step-up enziguiri. Nile and Paxley hit Magic killer before a moonsault from Paxley. Kacy breaks the pin and sends Nile to the floor. Kacy and Kayden double team and hits neckbreaker/senton combo to get the pin and the win.

Winner – Kayden Carter & Kacy Catenzaro

After the match, Ivy Nile attacks Paxley and chokes her out. Roderick Strong tells her to leave Paxley.

Malcolm Bivens approach Solo Sikoa as he is interviewed. Bivens thanks him for saving him from Gunther. Sikoa says he did it for himself and not for him.

LA Knight is backstage and gives Waller credit to get the win by hook or crook, but everyone saw how he dropped both Sanga and Waller.

Dolph Ziggler vs Tomasso Ciampa – Winner Faces Bron Breakker at NXT Stand & Deliver

Some grappling to start. Both miss moves in a quick exchange. Ziggler takes a cheap shot and hits a neckbreaker. Ziggler keeps him on the ground. Ciampa gets to his feet and hits a chop. Ziggler fires back before Ciampa hits a few clotheslines. Ciampa with rolling elbow and chops. He misses a running knee strike, but knocks off Ziggler off the apron with a knee.

Ziggler is in control as we return. Ciampa hits punches to midsection as they start trading shots. Ciampa stops a dropkick and catapults Ziggler into the turnbuckles. A clothesline gets Ciampa a two-count. Trading strikes again. Ziggler cuts off a charge with a dropkick and then hits fameasser for a two-count. Ciampa hits a pump kick and a backbreaker for two-count. He hits a running knee but Ziggler gets his leg on the rope. Ziggler slams him into the ringpost and hits zig-zag on the floor. The referee starts counting down as both are on the floor. Ziggler brings Ciampa in.

Ciampa goes for fairytale ending but his left arm is dead. Ziggler puts on a sleeper. Ciampa gets to his feet with the sleeper on and drops Ziggler on her back. They trade chops on the apron. Ciampa hits air raid crash on the apron. Ciampa throws Ziggler back to the ring. Someone disguised as a cameraman attacks Ciampa’s leg. Ziggler hits a superkick and gets the pin.

Winner- Dolph Ziggler

The cameraman turns out to be Robert Roode. Roode and Ziggler attack Ciampa until Bron Breakker makes the save. Breakker challenges them for a tag team match next week. They get back to the ring and a brawl breaks out. The

LA Knight vs Grayson Waller: With the restraining order out of the picture, LA Knight is ready to give Gryason Waller a beating up. Waller has been a thorn in Knight’s side for a long time, but the restraining order and the presence of Sanga have proved to be a roadblock in getting to Waller. How much anger does Knight have for Waller?  

Dolph Ziggler vs Tommaso Ciampa: Dolph Ziggler wants to reign supreme on WWE NXT 2.0 by winning the NXT championship. However, Tommaso Ciampa refuses to let him have a clear shot at the title. As a result, the two of them will collide in a singles match, and the winner will get an opportunity to face Bron Breakker for the title later on.
