Welcome to our live coverage of WWE Fastlane 2023 PLE which is set to air from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.

Only 5 matches are announced for the show, which means that every match is likely to get ample amount of time. Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura’s rematch over World Heavyweight Championship is expected to be the main event tonight. It is a last man standing match.

2 more title matches are on the Fastlane card with Iyo Sky defending WWE Women’s Championship in a triple-threat match against Asuka and Charlotte Flair. Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest are set to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso to defend Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

Other matches also tag team matches. John Cena and LA Knight are teaming up to take on The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar are looking for a surprise team partner as they take on Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.

Paul Heyman is interviewed backstage during the pre-show. He snaps at Byron Saxton at the question of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso losing tonight. He slammed the door on Saxton’s face and even said Kayla Braxton is a good interviewer.


Iyo Sky is with Bayley and Dakota Kai for an interview and is asked about their strategy for tonight. Bayley goes to speak but Iyo tells her that she has a plan of her own tonight, and does not need her out for the match. Iyo leaves alone. Bayley looks miffed and chases after her.


Jade Cargill arrives in the parking lot. Triple H welcomes her and escorts her into the building.


A cold open narrated by Pat McAfee opens the main show. We get a video package for the tag team title match next. Jey Uso is the first one to come out. Cody follows him out briefly afterward. Judgment Day are out next. No Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley or JD McDonagh with them in the corner.

Judgment Day(Finn Balor & Damian Priest)(c) vs Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso – Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

Jey starts against Priest. Priest is staggered a bit with a shoulder tackle but he quickly drops Jey with a tackle of his own. Jey ducks a big swing and unloads with body shots. He hits a right uppercut before tackling him to the corner and tag in Cody. Cody puts on the headlock before he comes off the ropes to hit a dropdown uppercut. Jey hits a headbutt. Priest hits a clothesline to drop Jey. Balor tags in and corners Jey to lay out some punishment. Jey hits back with a headbutt and tags in Cody. Cody catches Balor on his shoulder and drops him with a gutbuster. Cody drops Balor on the mat with a delayed vertical suplex.

Priest gets a blind tag and drops Jey from behind with a big kick. Priest hits more big blows as he comes in. Balor and Priest hit Jey with some quick kicks to get a two-count. Balor puts on a chinlock. Jey tries to get to Cody but Balor pulls him back and hits some shots to midsection before a dropkick. Priest puts on a stretch, pulling Jey’s arms behind him. Jey hits shots to midsection but Priest slams him to the mat quickly to stop a tag. Priest goes for a cheap shot at Cody but Cody fires back. The referee gets engaged in keeping Cody outside when Balor gets the tag and drops Jey. Balor puts on a chinlock. Jey fires shots at Balor as he attempts to get to Cody. Jey punches Priest off the apron. He sends Balor into the corner into the turnbuckle. Jey tags in Cody.

Cody hits punches, a Polish hammer and a body slam on Balor. He hits a disaster kick to get a two-count. Cody hits Priest with a dragon screw leg on the apron. Balor hits an inverted DDT after countering Cody cutter. Balor hits a dropkick. He sets up for Coupe de Grace but Cody cuts it off and hits a superplex. Jey and Priest get the tags. Jey hits quick punches. He hits an upper cut and a step up enzuigiri. Jey hits a crossbody from the top rope to get a two-count. Priest rolls to the apron. He lands a roundhouse kick on Jey from the apron before he hitting an elevated flatliner. Jey catches him with a back elbow. Priest goes for the Razor’s Edge but Jey slips out and decks Balor off the apron before sending Priest to the floor to hit a suicide dive.

Jey brings Priest back in and hits a splash from the top. Cody hits Cody Cutter on Balor, but rolls out of the ring again as he is hurt. Jey’s superkick is blocked by Priest but Jey hits a spear on Priest. Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley come out. Jey hits Dominik with a superkick. Rhea flirts with her to distract him. Priest hits an uppercut on Jey. He hits a hurricanrana and Balor follows up with Coupe de Grace. Cody breaks the pinfall. All 4 men face-off and start to hit big moves. Jey hits a superkick on JD McDonagh as he tries to interfere from the apron. Rhea hits Jey with MITB briefcase. Balor rolls up Jey, but he kicks out.

Cody is hit with a chokeslam on the apron. Priest clears the announce table. McDonagh tries to hit Cody with the briefcase but he avoids the shot, which catches Priest’s knee. Cody hits Crossrhodes on Priest on the announce table. Jey sends Balor to the floor and hits a suicide dive on Balor and McDonagh. Jey takes Balor back to the ring. Cody and Jey hits Samoan Drop and Cody Cutter combo on Balor. Cody hits a Crossrhodes on Balor to get the pinfall.

Winners – Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso get the titles. Jey is the undisputed tag team champion once again. Rhea Ripley is screaming at JD McDonagh for his blunder earlier during the match.


We get a segment, which is a commercial for Pizza Hut, where Wade Barrett and Booker T hype the show tonight before Xavier Woods orders a pizza from the app.

Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar & Carlito vs Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits(Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Lashley and The Street Profits enter first. Santos Escobar comes out with Zelina Vega. Rey Mysterio joins them on the stage before heading into the ring. The match starts without the mystery partner.

Escobar starts against Ford who hits a kick to his knees. Escobar hits some quick moves before Ford catches him with a chop block after a distraction from Dawkins. Ford gets to the top rope. Escobar hits him with an avalanche hurricanrana. Lashley breaks the pinfall attempt and his team takes over control. Escobar is cut off from Rey with quick tags. Lashley hits a spear on Escobar in the corner. Escobar counters against Dawkins and tags in Rey.

Rey hits a tijeras and more quick moves to get control for a while. Lashley cuts him off with a cheap shot. Rey is being controlled now with quick tags. Ford tees off with stomps in the corner. Rey misses in the corner and the Street Profits domination continues. Rey hits back elbows to knock off Street Profits. Lashley hits back at him but misses a spear in the corner. Rey sends Ford to the floor when he tries to attack him. Lashley tags in Dawkins. Rey hits Dawkins with an enzuigiri. Ford pulls Escobar off the apron. Zelina Vega hits Ford with Meteora.

Rey fights back one more time against Ford and sends him to the floor. Carlito’s music hits and he makes his entrance. Carlito gets the tag and runs riot with quick moves. Rey hits Dawkins with a seated senton on the floor. Escobar hits a suicide dive on Lashley to drive him into the barricade. Carlito hits Ford with a backstabber in the ring to get the pinfall.

Winners – Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar & Carlitto

The extended LWO celebrate their win after the match. Michael Cole and Corey Graves get a Pizza Hut delivered on the commentary table.

Iyo Sky(c) vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka – Triple Threat Match for WWE Women’s Championship

Flair sends Iyo out of the ring. Asuka spits Green mist on Flair, but she takes a bit of time to cover, allowing Iyo to break up the pinfall. Flair rolls to the floor. Some counters from both side. They trade pin attempts in quick succession.
Iyo almost has a pinfall but Asuka kicked out in the last moment. They trade knee strikes on the ropes. Asuka then drops Iyo with a roundhouse kick. Charlotte comes back in finally and hits a pump kick. She hits continues to beat up Asuka. Iyo jumps on her back but Flair drops her easily.

Asuka hits a kick but Flair hits her with a back suplex. Iyo trips her and hits a stomp on her. Flair fights back but Iyo gets her in a crossface. Flair gets to her feet but Asuka hits her with roundhouse kick. Iyo and Asuka fight in the ring again. Iyo ends up hitting a German suplex on Iyo from the top rope. Flair hits a crossbody on both women. Flair hits big chops on both opponents and ends up dropping them. Flair goes for a double suplex. Iyo and Asuka tries to counter but Flair turns it into a double DDT.

Flair drives Iyo face-first into the turnbuckle. Flair drops Asuka and Iyo with a handspring clothesline for a two-count. Flair’s German suplex is blocked by Iyo. Asuka jumps off the ropes to hit a sunset flip for a two-count. Iyo runs the ropes, avoids Asuka and hits a suicide dive on Flair. Iyo trips Asuka on the apron. She hits a moonsault on Asuka, catching him barely. Flair gets up on the top rope and hits a moonsault herself. Flair brings Asuka back to the ring. Asuka charges at her but Flair hits a big boot. Iyo hits an uppercut on Flair.

Iyo gets to the top rope with Flair. Flair hits her with chops. Flair gets her up in Samoan Drop position. Asuka pulls them both down to the mat. She tries to get the pinfalls on both women but they both kick out. Charlotte puts on a Boston Crab on Asuka. Asuka rolls over to counter it. Flair puts on a figure four but Iyo breaks it with a Meteora to get a near fall. Asuka puts on ankle lock on Flair while Iyo puts on a crossface. Asuka then goes to kick Iyo. Flair catches Asuka with a spear to get a near fall.

Bayley comes out and wakes up Iyo. Flair catches Iyo with a knee as she argues with Bayley. Asuka flies in with a codebreaker on Flair to get a near fall. Flair puts on the figure four and bridges it to figure eight. Bayley distracts the official while Asuka taps out to the submission move. Iyo hits Over the Moonsault to get the pinfall.

Iyo is grateful to Bayley for the win as she puts the belt around her waist.


LA Knight arrived to the event in a Slim Jim car. Pat McAfee makes his entrance in his hometown. He hypes WrestleMania to take place in the state for a while before he introduces John Cena. Knight comes out next. Solo and Jimmy come out with Heyman in tow.

John Cena & LA Knight vs The Bloodline(Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa)

Jimmy starts against Cena. Cena puts on a chinlock. He hits a shoulder tackle. Jimmy regroups in the corner as Heyman is in his ears. Jimmy puts on the chinlock now. A distraction from Solo allows Jimmy to take control with a tackle. Solo hits headbutts on Cena after his tag. Jimmy tags in and hits some punches. Jimmy hits a big uppercut next. Solo tags in and sets up Cena in the corner to hit diving headbutt to his midsection. Jimmy tags in but misses a hip attack in the corner.

Cena drags towards Knight but Jimmy pulls him back. Cena is trying to get to Knight while still in a chinlock from Jimmy. Jimmy pulls him down to the mat. Solo tags in and hits a hip attack in the corner. Cena starts to fight back with punches on Solo. Solo hits a spinning heel kick to drop him again. Jimmy comes in and taunts Knight. Cena hits Attitude adjustment out of nowhere. Both men are down. Cena tries for a tag but Solo gets the tag first and pulls Cena back. Knight tries to get in, but gets stopped by the referee. Solo beats him meanwhile. Solo hits him with hip drops from the second rope. Cena kicks at two after the second hip drop.

Cena gets his knees up on the third hip drop, essentially hitting a low blow. Knight gets the hot tag finally as Jimmy comes in from the other side. Knight hits a flying shoulder tackle, Russian Lep Sweep and a swinging neckbreaker. He punches Solo off the apron and unloads with stomps in the corner. Solo comes in but Knight ducks his clothesline and hits a DDT. Jimmy hits him with tackle from behind. Knight avoids the splash from the top and Solo hits him with a Samoan Drop. Cena hits Solo with a crossbody off the top. Jimmy hits Cena with a splash. All 4 men are down.

Knight hits punches to Solo and Jimmy in quick pace. Solo whips him to the ropes and Jimmy hits a back body drop to send him to the floor. Cena goes for AA on Solo but Jimmy hits him with a superkick. Jimmy gets to the top now. Knight hits him with a superplex. Cena comes in and hits 5-knuckle shuffle on Jimmy. Knight hits BFT on Jimmy to get the pinfall.

John Cena tries to raise his hands but Knight gets Cena’s hands up.


Backstage, Damian Priest is in a foul mood and wants to cash in MITB briefcase tonight. Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio are trying to talk to him. Rhea Ripley comes in and tells him that he is not in good condition tonight. Priest gets some sense and sits down, looking in pain.

Seth Rollins(c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura – Last Man Standing match for World Heavyweight Championship

Shinsuke Nakamura comes out first with his music taking over. Rollins comes out next and the crowd takes over the singing job. Amazing atmosphere as they get ready for the match. Rollins tries a big boot but Nakamura ducks and moves to the floor. Rollins chases him but Nakamura gets into the ring. Rollins then picks up a kendo stick and gets into the ring. Nakamura slips to the floor and pulls Rollins out to drive his back into the apron. Rollins counters the suplex on the floor. Rollins exposes the floor.

Nakamura tries to drive him into the barricade but Rollins counters to send him into the steps instead. He breaks the steps and slams it on Nakamura’s face. Nakamura ducks it when Rollins throws it at him. Rollins drives him into apron. Rollins brings out several equipment. Nakamura catches him with a kick to midsection on his way back to the ring. Nakamura sets him up on the apron and hits a knee drop on his back. Nakamura gets nun-chuks and hits them on Rollins’ thighs and back. Rollins gets his boot but Nakamura comes back quickly to counter in the corner and hits a sliding German suplex.

Nakamura hits a diving knee to his face. Rollins gets up at 8 count from the referee. Nakamura puts trash can over his head and hits it with kendo sticks. Nakamura hits a few knee drops on his face. Rollins lands on his feet on a reverse exploder suplex. He hits a slingblade to counter. Rollins gets the kendo stick and unleashes on Nakamura’s back. Nakamura goes to the floor and Rollins hits him with suicide dive. Rollins brings him back and hits kendo stick shots to his knee. Nakamura ducks a swing and hits double knees to the back.

Nakamura sets up a table in the corner. He hits reverse exploder. He goes for a kinshasa against the table but Rollins moves away and Nakamura crashes into it. Rollins hits the stomp on Nakamura against the table. Rollins clears the announce table after Nakamura rolls to the floor. Rollins brings out a big ladder and drives it into Nakamura’s shoulder. He sets up Nakamura on the announce table and climbs the ladder. Nakamura gets up and moves into the crowd. Rollins follows him up. Rollins goes to drive him into a barrier but Nakamura slips and sends his head into it. Nakamura unleashes with more punches and takes Rollins up the stairs.

Rollins bites his face. Nakamura kicks him off the stairs and down. Rollins beats the count. Nakamura unleashes with chair shots him as they move towards the ringside. Rollins ducks a chair shot which lands on the ring post. Rollins goes for a pedigree on the exposed floor but Nakamura hits him with a back body drop. Nakamura throws him into the ring. He gets ready for kinshasa but Rollins cuts him off with a superkick. Rollins hits a pedigree.

Nakamura beats the count barely. Both men are down to the floor. Rollins sets up a table at ringside. Nakamura drives his back into the apron again. He sets up Rollins on a table and hits double knees from the second rope to Rollins’ ribs to break the table. Rollins breaks the countdown but Nakamura hits him with several chair shots. Rollins beats the count again. Rollins slams his face into the ring post. Seth climbs the ladder. Nakamura climbs up from the other side. Nakamura spits red mist on his face and pushes him off the ladder through the announce table. Rollins gets up at 9 and a half.

Nakamura hits a backbreaker on a steel chair. He hits a kinshasa to put him through a table. Rollins starts moving at 8 and slips to the floor to stand on his feet using the apron. Nakamura throws him into the timekeeper’s area and then takes him into the crowd again. Nakamura sets him up on a slab. Rollins recovers and hits a pedigree. He follows it up with a stomp on the table. Nakamura beats the count. Rollins hits him with a falcon arrow to put him through a table set up below the slab. Rollins beats the count but Nakamura can’t answer it.
