Elimination Chamber Match Set for RAW Women’s Title Contender
WWE has announced the second Elimination Chamber match for the namesake 2023 event and it will be for the #1 contender for RAW Women’s Championship.
Rhea Ripley, the women’s Royal Rumble match winner, decided to challenge Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 for SmackDown Women’s Championship. This paved the way for WWE to decide the challenger for RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair via Elimination Chamber.
WWE Official Adam Pearce announced that the second Elimination Chamber match this year will feature the final four participants in the Royal Rumble before Rhea Ripley. This includes Liv Morgan, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Cross.
One participant will be determined via a fatal 4-way qualifier. The qualifier match which will feature Candice LeRae, Michin’ Mia Yim, Piper Niven and Carmella. Carmella will be making her return to WWE after August. The last participant of the match will be revealed later.
Last year, Bianca Belair won the women’s Elimination Chamber match and went on to defeat Becky Lynch to become RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38.
The other Elimination Chamber match will be for WWE United States Championship featuring Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano, and two more participants to be determined via qualifiers.
WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 event will take place on February 18, 2023, at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada.
