Saurav Gurjar, One-half of NXT’s Indus Sher, is currently on a visit to his hometown in India after quite a while.
Saurav was selected for WWE Developmental during the tryouts in Saudi Arabia in 2017. He started with WWE Performance Center in 2018. He returned to India briefly in 2019 to work in the movie “Brahmastra.”
Saurav, along with Rinku in the tag team Indus Sher, has been one of the top talents from India in WWE right now. The team debuted on NXT’s weekly TV show back in April 2020. Recently, Saurav & Rinku teamed up with the reigning WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in the main event of Superstar Spectacle India event. The event was reportedly seen by more than 20 million viewers in India.
Saurav’s career progression has definitely caught the eyes of Indian fans. The local crowd gave him a great reception upon coming back to Gwalior, his hometown in India.
Saurav tweeted the video of the large crowd that gathered upon his home arrival last week. He has shared more pictures and videos recently where fans were seen showering their love and support for him.
He captioned the tweet(originally in Hindi), “I am grateful for such love and respect.”
Before his stint with WWE, Saurav was part of TNA’s India promotion Ring Ka King. He rose to popularity when he portrayed the role of “Bheem,” a popular character in itself, in the Indian Historical TV Series “Mahabharath.”
