Report: Sammy Guevara Pulled Out Due to Concussion at AEW WrestleDream

Sammy Guevara sustained a concussion during the AEW WrestleDream event.

AEW had initially announced that Sammy Guevara would participate in a tag team match alongside Takeshita against Jericho and Omega during the October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite. However, during the show, Guevara was substituted with Kyle Fletcher.

During a discussion on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Sammy Guevara suffered a concussion during the WrestleDream match. At WrestleDream 2023 PPV event, Guevara, Takeshita, and Ospreay defeated Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi.

There hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding Sammy Guevara’s return to action, but according to reports, it typically takes about 10 days to fully recover from a minor concussion.

Sammy Guevara is presently involved in an ongoing feud with Chris Jericho. This feud began when Guevara betrayed Jericho and aligned himself with the Callis family during AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.
