WWE Releases Rhea Ripley Promo for RAW

Former NXT Champion Rhea Ripley will be joining WWE RAW brand, WWE has revealed.

The Australian was last seen in NXT at New Year’s Evil special where he lost to Raquel Gonzalez in the Last Woman Standing Match. Ripley was rumored to be present at SmackDown tapings in January, but was not used.

Then, she was directly seen in the women’s Royal Rumble match. Ripley eliminated 8 other women, the most in the match. She was the last woman to be eliminated by Bianca Belair and lasted for 39 minutes and 6 seconds.

The speculations continued that Ripley will debut on SmackDown. But those speculations are now put to rest as WWE aired a coming soon vignette for Ripley for RAW brand on this week’s RAW. You can see the promo below.

There is no update yet on when Ripley will make her official RAW debut or what kind of plans does WWE has for her. Stay tuned to this site for the latest updates.

Real name Demi Bennett, Ripley signed with WWE in 2017 and debuted in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. She mainly worked in NXT UK Brand in next couple of years where she also became the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion.

Ripley would come to NXT in October 2019 and went on to win the first Women’s WarGames match for her team in November 2019. She also went on to lead NXT Women’s Team in the Survivor Series 2019 event. Ripley is also credited with dethroning Shayna Baszler as NXT Women’s Champion in December 2019. She later lost the title to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36.
