WWE has announced WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar match for Crown Jewel 2021 PPV.

WWE confirmed that Crown Jewel will take place on 21 October 2021 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will start at 1 PM ET/8 PM local time.

Brock Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2021 to confront Roman Reigns. He then returned at last week’s SmackDown episode and challenged Roman for a match once again while also creating a wedge between Paul Heyman and Roman. Lesnar also thwarted an attack from Roman and the Usos on his appearance at Maddison Square Garden.

At the end of last week’s SmackDown, Roman accepted Lesnar’s challenge and said he will take care of Lesnar once he is done with Finn Balor. Roman will defend the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules PPV next Sunday.

WWE has also confirmed that Reigns vs Lesnar will take place at Crown Jewel even if Reigns losses the title to Balor at Extreme Rules. It will be a singles match in that case.

This will be the fifth singles match in the Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns rivalry(one match was turned into a triple threat when Seth Rollins cashed in MITB). Roman has defeated Lesnar just once at Summerslam 2018. He won the Universal Championship from Lesnar with that win.

WWE Crown Jewel is also expected to feature King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournament finals. Keep tuned in for more news and updates from the event.
