Why is Daniel Bryan Losing So Many Matches?
In the last few months, Daniel Bryan has been losing quite a bit and against wrestlers that he should not generally be losing. That is not all. He even appeared on a pre-show match at TLC 2020, something that a star of his caliber should not be agreeing to.
In the last two weeks on SmackDown, Bryan was pinned by Shinsuke Nakamura in a Gauntlet match and then was defeated by Cesaro clean. All of this has fans worried over Bryan’s stature within WWE.
However, as per a news report, those fears are not for anything. Ringsidenews.com has revealed that Daniel Bryan’s latest losing streak is by design. He is a part of the Blue brand’s creative team also and is heavily involved in the writing process.
The report mentions that Bryan is currently working on creating new stars for the company and is happy to put over other stars if that helps to elevate them.
In past six one-on-one matches since coming back in October, Bryan has won only two. Both of those wins came against Jey Uso. However, Uso also defeated him one time during this run. On the other hand, Bryan has won all the tag team matches during this time.
Recently, Bryan revealed that his days in the ring are now numbered and he has already started to transition to a backstage role. As per previous reports, Bryan has been praised backstage for his work with the creative team.
