Randy Orton is returning to WWE to take up the spot as the fifth member of Cody Rhodes’ team for the War Games match at Survivor Series 2023 PLE.

During November 20 episode of RAW, Drew McIntyre provided insight into his decision to join Judgement Day. He specifically highlighted how Jey Uso had thwarted his chance at a title match. Following his explanation, McIntyre expressed his desire to face Jey Uso in the War Games and boldly declared himself the fifth member for Judgement Day.

After Drew McIntyre was confirmed as the fifth member of Team Judgement Day, the anticipation grew for Team Cody’s final member, teased to be announced at the end of the show. Cody Rhodes hinted that his friend would be joining the team.

In the main event of November 20 episode of RAW, McIntyre was scheduled to face Jey Uso in the advantage match for War Games. During the bout, McIntyre secured the victory and continued the assault Jey.

Judgement Day also joined in the attack, drawing out Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn to make the save. Team Cody managed to clear the ring and stand tall. Rhodes then took the mic and announced that since McIntyre had joined Judgement Day, their side would feature the “eight-pack predator.” Rhodes revealed that Orton would be joining his team for the War Games match.

After the announcement, the crowd erupted with excitement as the entire WWE universe had been eagerly anticipating Orton’s comeback. Randy Orton was sidelined because of a back injury and underwent back surgery in November of 2022.

Reports about Randy Orton’s comeback surfaced since Money in the Bank 2023 PLE. Despite his father’s statement suggesting Orton wouldn’t wrestle again, contrary to these reports, Orton has made his return.
