NXT will present a TakeOver event in the WrestleMania week over two nights on 7 April and 8 April 2021. Titled as NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, the first night for the show will air on USA Network and other NXT broadcasters across the globe and the second night will air on WWE Network, Peacock(in USA), Sony LIV and other PPV carriers.
Earlier, the show as scheduled for 10 April. However, WWE turned WrestleMania 37 into a two-night event on 10th & 11th April. Till now 8 matches are announced over two nights. Night 1 will have the NXT Women’s Championship match in the main event between Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez.
The main event for night 2 will be the NXT Championship match between Finn Balor & Karrion Kross. NXT UK titlle, NXT Tag Team Championship, NXT North American Championship and NXT Cruiserweight Championship – all will be on the line in different matches.
NXT TakeOver Stand & Deliver 2021 Date & Start Time
NXT TakeOver Stand & Deliver will take place 7th & 8th April 2021. The start time on both nights will be at 8 PM EST/5 PM PST/12 AM GMT. The show will air from WWE’s Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL, US.

Matches & Storylines
Finn Balor(c) vs Karrion Kross – NXT Championship
Karrion Kross won the NXT Championship from Keith Lee at NXT TakeOver:30 in August 2020. However, he suffered a separated shoulder injury during that match and had to relinquish the title. Finn Balor defeated Adam Cole to win the NXT title and held it until now.
Kross returned from injury but Balor was involved in a storyline with Pete Dunne & Kyle O’ Rielly during that time. After Balor defended the title successfully against Adam Cole on NXT 10 March episode, Kross appeared in the ring to confront him. They partnered each other in a tag team match next week where Kross attacked Balor after he had inadvertently hit Scarlett.
The match between them was later confirmed by NXT to take place on night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. On the go-home show for the TakeOver, both men hyped the match with pre-recorded promos.
Io Shirai(c) vs Raquel Gonzalez – NXT Women’s Championship
Io Shirai had a face-off with Raquel Gonzalez backstage on 10 March NXT episode and indicated that she is choosing to defend her title against Gonzalez. The match between them for NXT Women’s Championship was confirmed next week to take place as the main event of Night 1 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
Raquel attacked Io Shirai a few times leading up to this match. On the go-home show, Shirai snapped and came out to the ring to call her out. This resulted in a big brawl as the women’s roster tried to contain them.
WALTER(c) vs Tommaso Ciampa – NXT UK Championship
Tommaso Ciampa challenged WALTER for the title match on 17 March episode of NXT after his match against Drake Maverick. WALTER initially neglected Ciampa. However, Ciampa attacked Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel and this forced WALTER to take down Ciampa. WALTER stood on top of Ciampa and confirmed that the title match between them. Both men hyped the match with pre-recorded promos in the following episode of NXT.
MSK vs Grizzled Young Veterans vs Legado Del Fantasma – Triple Threat Match for NXT Tag Team Championship
MSK won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament for 2021. However, their title match wad delayed to an injury. Later, Danny Burch, one half of NXT Tag Team Champions, also got injured and they have to relinquish the titles.
MSK has started a feud with Legado Del Fantasma and Grizzled Young Veterans. NXT then confirmed that a triple threat tag team match will take place between these three teams for the vacant Tag Team titles.
Leon Ruff vs Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs Bronson Reed vs Cameroon Grimes vs Dexter Lumis vs LA Knight – 6 Man Gauntlet Match – #1 Contender for NXT North American Championship
On night 1 of the show, a 6-man Gauntlet match will take place to identify the #1 contender for Johnny Gargano’s NXT North American Championship. In this match, To identify the 6 men, a Battle Royal will take place on 31 March episode of NXT. Leon Ruff, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Bronson Reed, Cameroon Grimes, Dexter Lumis and LA Knight qualified for the Gauntlet Elimination match. The order of entry in the match is as below:

Johnny Gargano(c) vs Winner of Gauntlet Match – NXT North American Championship
Johnny Gargano will defend the North American title against the new #1 contender from the Gauntlet match the previous night. Bronson Reed won that match to setup the match with Gargano on night 2.
Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart(c) vs Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
The Way’s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell were defeated by Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart in the semifinals of women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classics tournament. Later, Moon and Blackheart won the Tag Team titles. The rivalry between these two teams continued.
On the go-home episode of TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, The Way defeated some enhancement talent. After the match, they called out Blachheart and Moon for the tag title match. The champions came out and accepted the match.
Jordan Devlin(c) vs Santos Escobar(c) – Title Unification Match for NXT Cruiserweight Championship
Jordan Devlin won the Cruiserweight title at Worlds Collide: NXT vs NXT UK 2020 event. Devlin was then stuck in the UK during the pandemic. A new interim champion was crowned on NXT with a tournament which was won Santos Escobar. Escobar continued to defend the title on NXT and NXT TakeOver events. Devlin also continued to put the title on the line in NXT UK meanwhile.
Once the travel restrictions got lifted Devlin returned to the US and challenged Escobar. A title unification match was announced to take place between them. During a segment between them on 24 March episode of NXT, Shawn Michaels came out and slid in a Ladder in between them. The Ladder match stipulation was added to the match.
Adam Cole vs Kyle O’ Reilly – Unsanctioned Match: No Rules, No Liabilities
Adam Cole turned on Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly on NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day after taking them out with superkicks. Cole also attacked Roderick Strong on the following NXT episode. Cole challenged Balor for the NXT title at 10 March 2021 episode. Kyle O’Reilly appeared on the ringside which distracted Cole and cost him the title match.
O’Reilly attacked Cole post-match and they continued to brawl to backstage. Next week, Cole cut a promo on O’Reilly and warned him. After another brawl between them, NXT General Manager William Regal decided to put them in an unsanctioned match with no rules and no liability.
Pete Dunne vs Kushida
Pete Dunne and Kushida were feuding against each other in the few weeks leading to the TakeOver event. They were both part of the Battle Royal to qualify for the Gauntlet Elimination match but kept brawling with each other the whole time. Both men were eventually eliminated before qualifying. The commentary team later announced the match between Dunne and Kushida at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver night 1.
Toni Storm vs Zoey Stark
This match between Zoey Stark and Toni Storm was announced for pre-show for night 1. There is not much storyline for this match.
