The tag team championship gets murkier as WWE NXT presents a new episode on October 5, 2021 episode. Two matches are currently announced with all the contender teams for the tag team championship colliding in an 8-man tag team match. LA Knight will take on Odessey Jones while NXT titles scene is also expected to get clearer.

8-Man Tag Team Match: MSK thought they are out of challengers, but Grizzled Young Veterans, Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams and Briggs & Jensen presented themselves as potiential titleholders. A brawl ensued where MSK, Briggs and Jensen stood tall. Next week, all 4 team will be in action with MSK teaming with Briggs and Jensen and GYC teaming with Hayes & Williams.

Odyssey Jones vs LA Knight: LA Knight was not pleased that he is put against Jones in a singles match. When Jones told him that he is unlike anything that he has faced until now, Knight attacked him after a distraction from Chase Owens.

Next Challengers: Bron Breakker wants to hotshot himself for a title shot and Mandy Rose stood tall over Raquel Gonzalez to close last week’s NXT. Do we have next challengers for NXT and Women’s Championships?

Results & Live Updates

The show opens with the video package for MSK and NXT Tag Team title challengers and how the segment turned into an all-out brawl. The 8 men tag team match is now changed to Fatal 4-way title match.

Mandy Rose defeated Ember Moon in a singles match. Moon started strongly and Jayne and Dolin had to pull out Rose to safety. Moon took the sidekicks out but Rose took advantage to take control. The match went back to quick back and forth action before Rose hit the big boot to get the pin.

The commentators talk about Hit Row getting drafted to SmackDown. Legado Del Fantasma appear on the screen and take shots at Hit Row. Santos Escobar challenges Isiaih Scott for North American Title match.

LA Knight defeated Odyssey Jones. Knight dominates from the start. Jones gets the wind and drops Knight with a Gutbuster. Andre Chase runs out and distracts Jones, which leads to Knight hitting his cutter to get the pin.

Cameron Grimes is backstage with McKenzie Mitchell and is in awe of couple in NXT. He is also on the hunt for love. Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland roll up and threaten Grimes. Grimes does not pay much attention to them, but Dunne sets a match between them later tonight.

Kyle O”Reilly asks Von Wagner why he helped him out last week. Wagner says he respects him. KOR tells him that he could not trust anyone after last year, and wants to handle his own business.

NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa is out and wants to know who wants his NXT title. Bron Breakker comes out and says he deserve the title shot since he has the biggest balls in the locker room and wants a title shot Halloween Havoc. Ciampa replies that he will not take the title away from him, since for Breakker it is just a stepping stone for bigger things, while for him it is everything. And Breakker has three weeks to graduate from NXT school as he will get the title shot at Halloween havoc.

Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta are backstage. They open a room and see Mei Ying doing her voodoo rituals. Boa shouts at them to go away. They are frightened and shut the door.

Joe Gacy cuts a pre-recorded promo where he says while social media could be down, NXT is the voice for an inclusive generation.

Jeo Gacy defeated Ikeman Jiro. Jiro started strong. Gacy comes back with some strikes and shows off. Jiro hits some strikes using his blazer. Gacy dodges a move and runs down Jiro with a big lariat for the pin. After the match, Gacy hugged Jiro to go in line with his conflict resolution character. As Gacy leaves, Harland is staring at him from the front row.

Duke Hudson is now a poker player and his promo is all about mind games and winnings.

Cora Jade defeated Franky Money. Aliyah was supposed to face Cora Jade. Frnaky Monet attacked Aliyah and replaced her in the match. Monet dominated the match from the start. Jade catches Monet with a surprise roll-up out of nowhere for the win.

MSK is getting interviewed backstage. GYV comes over and says MSK has found another way to avoid losing the titles to them with Fatal 4-way match. MSK gets provoked and wants the match to be turned into an elimination-style match. The other two teams also roll up and another brawl starts.

Pete Dunne defeated Cameron Grimes. The match went back and forth until Ridge Holland interferred. Kyle O’Reilly comes out to neutralize but gets thrown over the announce table. Dunne sent Grimes into the ropes and hit Bitter End for the pin.

Tony D’Angelo defeated Malik Blade via pinfall after dominating most of the match.

Indi Hartwell defeated Mei Ying. Indi did not have a reply to Ying’s early offense. Persia Pirotta helps out Indi with a save. Indi turns the corner after this and hits her finisher out of nowhere to get the win.

Raquel Gonzalez comes out to talk about Toxic Attraction. They come out to interrupt her and Rose makes it clear that she wants the NXT Women’s title. Toxic Attraction surrounds Raquel, but Io Shirai & Zoey Stark come out to make the save.

MSK retained the NXT Tag Team Championship in a Fatal 4-Way elimination match. They first eliminated Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes after a rally from Briggs & Jensen. GYV got eliminated by Briggs & Jensen hit double chokeslam to Gibson. Wes Lee turned a powerbomb from Jensen into a roll-up for the win.
